  1. How unbelievably disappointing. We add another high K hitter in Schoop whereas the Dodgers and Cubs give up less and add better players in Dozier and Murphy. I am a huge believer in Stearns but this trade season has not been kind to his resume
  2. It would be exceptionally disappointing to miss the playoffs again after collapsing in 2014 and 2017.
  3. I would be OK with moving him for Murphy but not outright DFAing him. While not my type of player, he is only a season removed from being an All Star 2B hitting .293 with 32 HR. Give him 2B next season and see what we have.
  4. And with the players they dealt in going for it. Wow...I wanted Archer bad but nowhere near that cost.
  5. While Murphy will not set the world ablaze with his defense, his offensive skill set is perfect for the Brewers. The man rarely strikes out and has a slash of .329/.380/.930 in 342 games the past 3 years in Washington. This would be a boon for the offense if it happens as a Cain, Yelich, Aguilar, Murphy, Braun, Shaw/Moustakas, Schoop/Arcia lineup would be unreal. Sign me up for Murphy with Perez as a defensive replacement late in games.
  6. Counsell managing like Ned Yost in late 2008 season. Stop overthinking.
  7. Knebel has been trash for awhile and Counsell should’ve pulled him after he walked he first two guys in the ninth. Very frustrating to watch today.
  8. Heard he dominated the California Penal League
  9. What about Salvador Perez and becoming Royals North? Only 28 and 3 years $39.6 million remaining on his deal after this season. If the Royals were to throw in say $15 million, would Perez at ~$8 million annually be worth the Brewers investing in? He doesn't walk but brings some pop to the position where Pina has been a black hole in 2018.
  10. The bold part. Due to this, my offer wouldn't be much more than Hiura, Burnes, Hader and Turang. While I would love Trout here, the reality is that the Brewers depth is what is turning them into a winning organization. Shaw gets hurt...replaced with Moustakas. Aguilar gets hurt...replace with Thames. Braun gets hurt...replace with Santana. Nelson and Davies get hurt...replace with Peralta and Guerra. I just love what Stearns has done. I have full faith he will get that ace when the price is right as well.
  11. Agreed. I irrationally hated to see him traded. He is just so likable and really my kind of player. I still would have preferred Santana and Lopez to KC as I really thought he would pencil in nicely as the RF of the future as a D first player. Regardless I will root hard for him.
  12. Better be bringing Dylan Bundy with you Mr. Schoop.
  13. Shaw would have to be on the move... Only thing that makes sense except I hate it.
  14. Rosenthal reporting we're in talks for Schoop.
  15. Disappointing deadline coming
  16. Rosenthal reporting Dozier to Dodgers is close
  17. Pittsburgh Post Gazette Reporter saying the trade is in place.
