That was a nice tag by Hiura. Let the ball fall right in his glove on top of the runners back rather than snatching it and pulling it toward the runner. the throw moves faster than a snatch and tag.

Oddly the best place to be might be the 8 seed. Best chance to beat LA might be in a 3 game series. This is very, very true. If the WS is the goal, and I'd think it is, you want to face LA right off the bat. Although with this roster I'll be happy with any playoff appearance.

Rory McIlroy shot a 6 under yesterday after his 1st newborn came into the world on Monday. He flew back to NI from Chicago on Sunday then flew to Atlanta on Wednesday to play yesterday. I don't know if this has anything to do with Woodruff except in some quasi-astrological way, but thought I'd mention it for your benefit anyway.

Whatever. I'm thinking/speculating that Smoak was looking to go the way of Cain (or wasn't a good fit in the clubhouse) so the Brewers just cut bait. Smoak was worthless against lefties anyway, so grab a lefty who is better or as good as SMoak from that side. Meh.
