  1. [sarcasm]If he waits until the 6th round to draft the projected 6th rounders, then when is he going to draft all thse guys everybody else was planning to sign after the draft was over?[/sarcasm]
  2. Looking ahead to the next pick, I'd go with a Tackle. Niang, Wonogho, Charles, Bartsch, Peart. Lynn Bowden woulda been fun too, but he gone.
  3. This will make more sense when they sign Antonio Brown, trade for OBJ, and Joe Thomas comes out of retirement to play for the hometown team. Maybe Travis Frederick and Chris Borland too.
  4. Bingo. Reaching for a RB that isn't really needed is really weird in today's NFL.
  5. It's not just the wins....it's more that the two best players on the team before yesterday was our QB and our RB....and we just drafted a QB and a RB in the first 2 rounds. Also, it's kinda tough to play 2 QBs and RBs at the same time, so that makes it even more odd.
  6. I'm guessing they've got a lot of guys rated higher than other teams so this is going to be the norm (see Darnell Savage)....It's not like any of us have done anything other than read too much crap from online draftniks who rank these guys according to who knows what. They all read each other as well and kind of come up with a "consensus" rating which does very little other than drive fans like us nuts who read too much of it and just assume that the Packer Scouts and brass are a part of that consensus. Obviously, they are NOT a part of that consensus. Hopefully they are right.
  7. Was Dillon the bpa? Obviously he was on Gute and LaFleur's board, which is all that matters. They might be accused of reaching, but certainly not reaching for need, lol.
  8. BPA rules, I guess.
  9. What's Joshua Jones' story?
  10. Antonio Gibson would be an interesting pick
  11. So, 10 picks away, and there are 10 guys available I'd be happy with. Mims, Edwards, Baun, Epeneza, Josh Jones, Cleveland, R Davis, Madubuike, Jordan Elliott, Logan Wilson
  12. There are a few more...Mims was mocked in round 1 in many places and he is still available. Then Claypool and maybe Bryan Edwards and Van Jefferson...then a little dropoff before another big group of guys including Quintez Cephus and Tyler Johnson
  13. Perfect Day: trade Love for 34 or 44 and 75 44: T Josh Jones 62: LB Logan Wilson OR DL like Elliott, Gallimore, Davis 75: Chase Claypool 94: Laviska Shenault Realistically perfect day: 62: Mims/Pittman 94: Matt Peart Probably more like: 62: Davion Taylor 94: Amik Robertson Maybe: trade 62 and 94 to get 44th pick 44: Jacob Eason. Let Eason and Love battle it out for the back up spot and heir apparent.
  14. Last night was the first time I've ever watched the draft. Usually I kind of half follow it as it's going on, checking in every half hour or so.
  15. I have a very faint hope that they still trade Love to Indy for the 44th and 75th picks. They could pick up a lot of talent and fill a lot of holes at 44, 62, 75 and 94. Ts, WR/TEs, DTs, LB--I think there are a lot of guys who could potentially start right away with those picks. Alas, trading UP to get Love sure seems like he is the guy that they want.
  16. I don't like it, but I like the guts it took to do it. Certainly amps up the drama.
  17. Terrell is the first slight reach. Need a couple more of those.
  18. As others have said, if Queen and Murray are gone they should trade down. If Gute REALLY loves one of the 2nd round tackles or WRs a lot better than the others than they could pick them at 30, but if they trade down they could conceivably get another pick and still get who they want (or somebody similar).
  19. I've never been a draft-nik, but after running this simulator a few times I came up with this: 1 (30) LB Patrick Queen 2 (62) OT Ezra Cleveland 3 (94) WR Chase Claypool 4 (136) IDL McTelvin Agim 5 (175) WR Quintez Cephus 6 (192) IDL Bravvion Roy 6 (208) CB Essang Bassey 6 (209) WR John Hightower 7 (236) OT Trey Adams 7 (242) CB DeMarcus Acy This seems like quite a haul and unrealistically fortunate but who knows.
  20. Looks like we should have traded Corbin Burnes.
  21. I think everybody knows and agrees that the bug itself is much worse than the flu... With all of the measures that have been and will continue to be taken there is still a slim possibility that the overall numbers will end up less deathly than the flu (22,500?). Without any precautions taken, I think it is quite obvious by now that the overall numbers would be decimating to society and cause far more problems than a 30 day lockdown (or whatever it ends up being). Sub/Urban areas will probably be locked down for quite a bit longer, as well as travel restrictions. I'll say that rural schools and churches will be going again before June--with strict trace and track testing and quarantine measures. Now that testing is more widespread and available, we should be able to separate hotspots from unafflicted areas and have appropriate measures in place for each locale.

  23. It’s obviously up to you, but I would certainly enjoy seeing the results if you’re willing to do it. I think at this point “waiting” until the weekend for some entertainment sounds like 5 minutes compared to the wait for semi-normal life to resume. I will post my first day of simulated MLB The Show results tomorrow for those interested. Are you guys just going to post the results/box scores? Is it difficult to post highlights or even full games? I've played OOTP for a few years and there is a "highlight" reel after every game--although OOTPs graphics are rather vintage, to be polite (and that is the only sports game that I play, so that's not a slight on the game)

  25. I'm not sure on the recent numbers, but they've always had the highest suicide rate too. So... stubbornly happy. To a point, anyway.
