  1. Mr. Juliano, what you've just written is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever read. At no point in your rambling, incoherent tweet were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on the internet is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. +1
  2. ...or Woodruff
  3. While I normally very much agree with opinion, the fact that the Dodgers lost is dramatic fashion last night due to their bullpen will definitely have them making changes in the offseason. As someone said a few posts ago, Hader is much more valuable to a team like the Dodgers than a team like the Giants. A player like Hader in Dodger stadium is a Chapman type acquisition. If they come calling, Stearns should listen and see what can be pried away. If they dangled Lux and May, I would hope there would be a conversation there. Resign Moose, Lux and SS, Keston at 2b, Thames/Braun at first is a pretty darn good infield. RP like Hader are not a dime a dozen, but if Stearns wants to consistently push for the playoffs, this might be the best way to go about it.
  4. Thank you for all the extra work that everyone puts in for the Link Report every year. You guys are very much appreciated. Can't wait for next year.
  5. Arcia would have struck out on three pitches with more flare.
  6. I wonder if Lyles is referring back to J. Giles Band or something. Maybe he should go by "Centerfold" instead.
  7. Agreed. Plus pitchers are boring when up to bat. No excitement. +1
  8. Link didn't work for me. I did see that Lutz will be playing for the Desert Dogs.
  9. I think they should take Brown "offline" with Burnes at this point and send him to the pitching lab in Phoenix. Unless they need the arm in SA or Biloxi or wherever he is now.
  10. Luna with a nice start for the Vibes, Supak...not so much.
  11. Not to take the thread off topic, but if Erceg, Brown and Ray can recover some luster we have some nice chips for next year's deadline if we are in the race for an arm or two. Might even move up to #29 on the farm rankings.
  12. Maybe if we just stay put, the rest of the central will come down to us.
  13. Honestly, I think I'd rather trade Arcia. They might have similar value? ...not sure at this point.
  14. I know the box score isn't everything, but looking at offensive numbers from the T-Rats is disappointing. Their pitching must be amazing to be within 2 games of .500.
  15. I get the idea of dealing Moose and Grandal, but I doubt he goes to a team like the Nationals who are ahead of us in the WC race. That would be a bad look at this point after winning 2 of 3 from the Cubs. The Rays or another AL team would be nice though if we could get someone to retool for next year. I agree that we have too many holes in the dam and not enough fingers to plug them at this point.
  16. I'm all for getting a couple small pieces to see if we can make the WC, but I think it would be a mistake to trade for a big name player this year with Woody out for at least a few weeks. I would much rather keep the farm intact and see where we are next year. Hopefully, Brown, Peralta, Burnes and Ray can bounce back and get us a little more value for a push to the WS. I understand that we could get hot this year, and I get that we could suck next year, I just think our odds are better next year.
  17. I don't know, I think the injury to Woody keeps us out of the major buyer category unless its a player with a bit of control. It will be interesting to see what happens between the Cubs and Cards.
  18. The crazy thing that I can't get over is that we are still only 1.5 games out. The way we've been playing lately it feels more like we should be 5-7 out. Heck we are only half a game out the WC. It will be interesting to see where we are in two weeks. I could see us being sellers if this continues, but we aren't going to sell any big pieces like Hader. It will be a bit of a salary dump for lottery tickets and try again next year. What a frustrating season to this point.
  19. Talk about two different pitchers....sheesh. This seems like more of an old regime pick. Big guy who throws heat.
  20. Man, some of those batting lines for the Missions make me wonder how they are scoring so many runs and having such a good year as far as W-L. Ray needs to heat up, although two walks yesterday are a plus.
  21. I agree, I think we are looking at: Chacin Burnes Woodruff Anderson Davies ...with Peralta and Nelson in AAA to start the year. A lefty would sure like nice in the middle of that rotation, but as long as Peralta and/or Nelson get the call up when/if ready I am ok with it. We will also have guys that move fluidly between AAA and MLB like we did last year to keep everyone fresh, I would assume.
  22. Anyone know what his numbers are the first two times through the order?
  23. I think the real questions is whether or not Wahl cried when he found out about the trade.
  24. Would they be interested in the Davis, Andersons, Santantas, Broxtons and Thames of the world? If we could give them someone from that group to lower the price, I would be all for it.
