  1. I really like the draft so far (full disclosure my like/dislike has no correlative r-squared for player outcome so don't blame me if they fizzle out). I really like Stokes after reading more about him. Obviously he has the super-high RAS (a Packer requirement) and he appears to be really coachable. I get the Packers fascination with RAS (you can't teach athleticism), but I think it's just as important to them that the player is coachable or responds to coaching so there's a decent chance of converting that athleticism into productive football. I admit I am not as sold on Josh Myers simply as I don't know enough about him and the info out there appears to be focused more on his negatives, but it's also very contradictory. I can't remember the sources, but one had him as needing to develop his body better while another said he had a great physique (pretty close to opposites). So this pick keeps me from an "excellent" grade. Amari Rodgers (AmROD?) is a perfect complement to the current receiving corp. If he can approach Cobb's level and STAY HEALTHY then that's a walk-off grand slam. Even if he's close to Cobb it adds a dimension to the team they have lacked for a few years which makes the top ranked offense even more deadly. Add a healthy Degura (fingers crossed) and That's a significant improvement to the offense from 2020. Eat that Aaron!
  2. Good to see you back. Aren’t TDs and INts for QBs the equivalent of W/L for Pitchers? Didn’t get the upgrade on Advanced stats for Football?
  3. 32 TDs, 6 INT's in his second to last year before he lost his entire offense around him. How many of those games were you able to watch? Plus a new OC in 2019. I guess Rodgers gets the pass for a new system, but Love doesn't.
  4. Do you object to being told the same thing more than 50 times? or is it more than 100? I turned off the sound at 7:03pm last night for the ESPN broadcast and have it muted tonight.
  5. Anyone in the know have a comparison of Myers to Humphrey and why the "experts" are wrong that Humphrey is a better prospect?
  6. Trey Lance is the 100MPH thrower who can't find home plate. The Niners hope to teach him control... Good Luck with that.
  7. Ok, enough of AR in the draft thread for me and back to today's action. Borrowing the OT list from AcmePacking on OT's who meat the Packers perceived metrics, here are the remaining prospects with projected round, 3-cone time, 20 shuttle time and RAS score: Teven Jenkins (PRJ RND: 1; 3-Cone: 7.69; Shuttle: 4.68; RAS: 9.74) Samuel Cosmi (PRJ RND: 1-2; 3-Cone: 7.35; Shuttle: 4.39; RAS: 9.99) Liam Eichenberg (PRJ RND: 2; 3-Cone: 7.53; Shuttle: 4.57; RAS: 8.56) Dillon Radunz (PRJ RND: 2-3; 3-Cone: 7.26; Shuttle: 4.57; RAS: 9.28) Brady Christensen (PRJ RND: 2-3; 3-Cone: 7.33; Shuttle: 4.52; RAS: 9.84) Walker Little (PRJ RND: 3-4; 3-Cone: 7.44; Shuttle: 4.59; RAS: 8.9) Spencer Brown (PRJ RND: 3-4; 3-Cone: 6.96; Shuttle: 4.4; RAS: 10) Stone Forsythe (PRJ RND: Early Day 3; 3-Cone: 7.47; Shuttle: 4.63; RAS: 8.78) Brenden Jaimes (PRJ RND: Day 3; 3-Cone: 7.46; Shuttle: 4.5; RAS: 8.53) Tommy Doyle (PRJ RND: Day 3; 3-Cone: 7.42; Shuttle: 4.57; RAS: 9.9) Dan Moore, Jr. (PRJ RND: Day 3; 3-Cone: 7.56; Shuttle: 4.73; RAS: 8.97) Cole Van Lanen (PRJ RND: Late Day 3; 3-Cone: 7.34; Shuttle: 4.64; RAS: 8.5) Larnel Coleman (PRJ RND: Late Day 3 - UDFA; 3-Cone: 7.69; Shuttle: 4.69; RAS: 8.6) I've liked Teven Jenkins, but without a trade up it's likely he and Cosmi are gone by early 50's and likely Eichenberg by 62. I'm feeling more positive about Spencer Brown and less a fan of Walker Little. Would Brown last until Packer's 3rd or is he moving up boards?
  8. How did they tick him off? I'm assuming he's mad because they had the nerve to draft his replacement when he didn't want to go. Well he had a pretty pedestrian 2019 so they had reason to think that a 37YO QB was declining and they needed to consider a replacement. He kept quite until he had his MVP season then within minutes of that season ending started his scorched earth approach. As people who know him have leaked he takes any slight and revisits it over and over and over again. His actions these last few months clearly is his revenge for the nerve of the Packers considering replacing him. He's Aaron Rodgers...!!!
  9. You might be right: 1) Aaron 2) Aaron 3) Aaron 4) Win SB 5) Aaron 6) Aaron 7) Aaron 8) Aaron 9) Aaron 10) Aaron ... IDK maybe 8th....
  10. Yeah, but I think that's been placed on Gute when most of the issue arose because of Ted Thompson's draft record near the end and his avoidance of the FA market to address deficiencies. The Packer's record really hid the fact that there was a huge talent dropoff at many positions during that time and Gute has had to address those both through the draft and by spending a lot of money in FA to get more talent back onto the team. You can only upgrade so much at-a-time, but the press seems to think that the 2020 Packers are no different than the 2016 Packers and Gute just fiddles while Rodger's burns...
  11. And I would have thought that given the way things went down during the transition between Favre and Rodgers that we wouldn't have a very similar situation, but here we are... I'm guessing that the Packers realize given Rodgers personality that not having his input will create fewer issues than having his input in decisions then not do what he wants. Rodgers has so many chips on his shoulders he would easily pop another one up there if the Packers "ignored" his input on anything.
  12. I think most teams reflect their owners and the Packers are the same. They are "owned" by a collective and they are run with the understanding that every player is replaceable (no single person has ultimate say). I wouldn't be surprised if AR or his representation has said "trade Love to show that you want AR back" and the Packers have said, "not gonna happen". That will never see the light of day because neither side wants that out. I really think there is a fundamental gap between the 2 sides at this point. I believe it is stubbornness by both sides, but for AR it's his ego and for the Packers it's a fundamental of their business philosophy.
  13. BINGO! I also think that we shouldn't overlook the Jeopardy part of the equation. That's a perfect situation for an egotist like AR. In Hollywood you are the greatest thing ever and you can do no wrong until they are done with you. Aaron likely would feed off the constant stroking of his ego and it plays perfectly to his need to be the best every day, every minute and for everything he says and does.
  14. His Packer draft grade of the pick this morning is absolutely hilarious, in so much as it's as convoluted as it can possibly get. Well that was a good laugh. I won't repeat the whole thing, but the last part was classic: Furthermore, if Rodgers is traded to the Broncos, as rumored, Patrick Surtain could've been included in the deal. That's obviously speculative, but it's still something that should be considered. Yeah, the Packers should be drafting based on internet rumors... Feed the trolls and get an A grade, oh brother.
  15. I read on bleacher report that the Packers got an F for not drafting one of the 5 top WR's left on the board. Obviously the packers feel they can get one today, if thats the route the wanted to take. You are correct, that there are a decent amount of OL left too. Besides Samuel, I don't see that many top CB's left. I was hoping the Walter Football guy's head would blow up after the Packers picked Stokes. Guess not, but it would have been nice. The narrative about 1st round WR is really nothing more than click bait for the "media".
  16. If it does, how absolutely absurd is it that he would do to Love exactly what was done to him 13 years ago? Yeah, for all the Rodgers is a smart guy talk, he is walking the same walk and talking the same talk as Favre. I really don't understand all the Packers fans emotional reaction to the second time we are going through the drama. Usually people are stronger after going through a hardship not a mass of jello...
  17. Campbell was a 5-star coming out of HS and Stokes was a 3-star. Stokes proceeded to improve to the point he supplanted Campbell on the depth chart. Based on multiple reports from Bulldog fans/sites Stokes just keeps getting better while Campbell doesn't. I have to believe the only reason so many sites have Campbell listed above Stokes is they look at the 5-star pedigree and nothing farther which tells you EXACTLY how knowledgeable most of the "experts" are when evaluating/ranking the talent. I agree and was going to post a similar thought, but you beat me to it. See, we can agree on some things.
  18. So the Vikings get the player they probably wanted at #14 at #23. Great... for them

  20. Not concnered. Pace can't build a winner trading away so many picks. He's the worst GM for the Bears. He is making moves simply to keep his job. He might get a few more years, but the Lions could very likely be in the Super Bowl before the Bears.
