  1. Possible it's Neil Walker since the Mets just signed Frazier?
  2. We're signing Jaime Garcia to a MILB contract
  3. Santana is nowhere near what Moncada was when the Red Sox dealt him. Kopech is kind of closer to Burnes but only because I'm still processing the Santana/Moncada comparison. Kopech is/was the far better pitching prospect. You can disregard the other two prospects the Red Sox gave up and add in Phillips and Peralta for the Brewers to Santana and Burnes and it still doesn't come close to what Moncada and Kopech were worth when traded. Yeah, you aren't just talking about two organizational Top 10 guys in Moncada and Kopech. Both of them are Top 10 in all of baseball. The Brewers haven't had a prospect rated that high since the Fielder/Weeks minor league years. To be fair Arcia was top ten before he graduated
  4. Sounds like he isn't actually going to play second. However first on the other hand... Also how realistic that if Braun shows he can play first at a decent skill level that they make him full-time there next year.
  5. I want a Yelich jersey ASAP Same. Hopefully they are online soon
  6. Archer makes a lot of sense for the Brewers but I don't see the point of dealing Archer for Santana if your the Rays. Somebody sell me on Salazer cause I'm not seeing it
  7. You sir are the man! Good luck in your tournament
  8. I will say, while I'm not a fan of signing him on a big four year deal, putting him and Yelich at the top of our lineup would be a lot of fun with their OBP's
  9. According to https://www.royalsreview.com/2017/8/3/16087764/lets-look-at-lorenzo-cains-defense-this-year, it is trending downward, but considering he was considered an elite talent in CF only a couple years ago, he'd still be considered serviceable out there. Of course, if we are talking about a 4-year deal, and the trend continues, things don't look great once you get into 2020 territory. Is it possible that he remains an above-average defender and hitter into his mid 30s? Sure ... but not likely. Thank you, I knew he was once considered elite out there. Wasn't sure if he still was. I am not sure he has the bat to be able to play a corner spot so if he isn't going to be great in center than I agree I would probably pass.
  10. How is his defense? Is it still really good? I have a hard time understanding defensive metrics so maybe one of you can more accurately tell me.
  11. I feel like frankly we are probably in a holding pattern and there is nothing to report.
  12. Do you still give it a roughly 95% shot of happening?
  13. Does anyone know what the emoji Darvish tweeted out means?
  14. So maybe this means we deal Santana first and then turn around and trade for Ellsbury And we plan to play Ellsbury over a guy like Brinson/Phillips? Hmmm...seems like a stretch. Ellsbury would not accept a trade without a promise of playing time. And I doubt we are trading two of our three young OFers and roll with two grandpas. In theory if we dealt two of our outfielders (ex. Broxton & Santana) he could be our fourth outfielder who we all know will get plenty of starts.
  15. So maybe this means we deal Santana first and then turn around and trade for Ellsbury
  16. Any idea if the trade is something a majority of the board would approve of?
  17. Yes. Funny, I didn't see you call him a bum when we let him leave.
  18. Yes, he is making a selfish decision. And he has every right to do so. But I also have every right to call him a bum we wasted time and resources on. Did you feel the same way about Jungmann?
  19. Anyone know who Dan Clark is? Is he reliable or just stealing what Bowden said?
  20. Maybe because the Brewers think they have a good shot at Walker
  21. If the price is low enough. The Brewers should be all over Harrison
  22. Yep, this is my takeaway too. Seems Stearns is focused on adding good controllable pitching. Might be by signing a free agent whose price drops. Or it could be by dealing for one. It seems Stearns really is willing to deal anyone for the right price. I really like that about him.
  23. I could see the Yankees dealing quite a bit for Shaw to try and stay under the tax.
