  2. Was blocked at major league level. A better prospect that I would have preferred but realistically had no path to playing time at the major league level
  3. Better not be any of our top prospects. I prefer this type of move to giving up top prospects for someone
  4. Hypothetically say the Brewers AAA team is Fresno. How much better is that than Colorado Springs? What are the cons to it?
  5. I am team Adell. If you have a chance to draft someone with a chance to be a legit superstar you take him imo
  6. Super upset the only pizza they offer now is pepperoni. I'll eat it but always loved the pizza they used to have.
  7. It's not Jungmann making the team ahead of him that has him and Scahill upset. It's Milone and Barnes. Both Cravy and Scahill not only performed well in Arizona, but last year with Brewers. I'm glad he popped off. It's time to take some shine off the Theo Epstein wannabe Stearns. (eyeroll emoji) Watching tonight's game, it reminded me of how last year Tommy LaStella refused to report to the minors after being sent down. So maybe this a similarity between Stearns & Epstein.
  8. My guess is this was just a misunderstanding. Stearns and Counsell probably told the relievers they would be competing for a spot in the bullpen, Cravy probably took this to mean that if he pitches better than specific players he would make the team over them. But Stearns knows that there are better ways to judge how a player will perform this upcoming season other than Spring Training performance. His performance this spring was probably one of many variables Stearns and co. looked at whereas Cravy thought it would just be if he was one of the best 7 or 8 in spring he would make it. Obviously here too we are only hearing the players side of the story, the Brewers will not come out and throw shade at Cravy even if he is wrong in what he said. They will stay politically correct (as they should) and handle in house.
  9. The point wasn't 1b exclusively. Its in general how little Infield depth we have. I apologize if that didn't come across clearly.
  10. Garza to the DL so we have our starting five. Guerra, Davies, Peralta, Anderson, Nelson in the order
  11. So honest question, we all know we have a bunch of outfield depth & pitchers on the 40 man, but last night I was playing the show and in the very first game Thames got hurt and had to go on the DL. It made me realize we don't have much if any depth. The only available infielder to call up was Yadiel. Seems like we could be better using our 40 man spots no? Do we need the Blazek's, Reed's, etc on the 40 man?
  12. I think they start with 12 pitchers but as was stated by Counsell they want that extra pitcher later this month so I could see them waiting to see if an injury occurs otherwise I could see them dfa'ing Dejesus if no one gets hurt after a week or so.
  13. Thames in RF today. Possibly a way to get Aguilar more AB's this season?
  14. I'm definitely a UW first fan(unless they play UWGB where I graduated from) but I will root for Marquette when they play other teams outside the state. I always root for any of the state teams.
  15. Definitely think it was very cool to see. I wouldn't have been super heartbroken had they lost but I think you could tell the players really wanted it. Seeing the emotions from both PR & USA were very cool. Also the class Puerto Rico showed was unbelievable after the game. Very very very cool thing for then to do
  16. It appears Jhan Marinez has made it as well.
  17. Yea I'm fully aboard the Bandy starting with Pina as his backup train. I would like to see what Bandy could do with a full year as a starter.
  18. You are very close. Only changes I would make are Milone and either Scahill/Chamberlain over Suter and Blazek. All signs are pointing to Garza not making the final cut. What signs are these that we will be moving on from Garza?
  19. Peralta is back with the Brewers now. Not sure about Lopez
  20. I don't know that they have much to decide on besides a spring training battle. All 3 are similar and have similar pedigrees
  21. With the way they have played in spring, Bandy has to be the starter right? With Pina backing him up and getting a decent amount of PT
  22. Im fine with the rosters being the way they are but I wish coaches had to be of that nations descent as well. Like Dave Bush being a coach for China makes no sense.
  23. It was a great ending to the USA game last night. although I question using Archer last night instead of tonight. Although that could be a long term play in thinking that if we move on we will most likely face them in the second pool and could want to save for Archer for that. but that requires us to move on first.
