  1. C: Kratz Pina IF: Aguilar Shaw Arcia Moose Schoop Perez OF: Yelich Cain Braun Granderson SP: Miley, Davies, Chacin Peralta RP: Jeffress Hader Knebal Soria Burnes Woodruff Guerra Cedeno Gio Normally would start Gio over Davies but I'd rather have the righty going against Colorado. Game 2 could be utilized as a bullpen game
  2. Does Burnes still have to follow the one batter rule after a rain delay?
  3. I see that we are done with the dodgers in the first two weeks of the season. That's really interesting
  4. $3.5 million per Cots, with a $250,000 buyout and either $250,000 or $125,000 in incentives depending on whether he's used as a starter (15+GS) or reliever (40+ G) Thank you, this article by the SD beat writer stated 1 mil which is obviously a big difference regarding next year. http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/sports/padres/sd-sp-padres-ross-lyles-cards-brewers-waivers-20180805-story,amp.html?__twitter_impression=true
  5. Can someone clarify how much his option is for next year? I've seen 3.5 mil & 1 mil
  6. What about the fact both Cain & Aguilar have now vouched for him? Does that show he is a changed person? Honestly asking people's opinions?
  7. It's true. Without Milwaukee funding Miller Park the Brewers would not be here. If someone wants to take a Hardline I get that stance, but then we have no baseball team. The demand for these sports teams is higher than the supply of them.
  8. Nottingham and/or Peralta seem the most likely
  9. Baseball really should allow teams to trade picks. Would make this much more exciting
  10. How long do teams have between picks? Trying to guess what time the Brewers will pick at
  11. So the Brewers shouldn't have hired Counsell?
  12. Idk. The way he has turned himself around since then has been motivation for myself. He does alot for the team, by all accounts is a great teammate, and he hasn't as much as gotten a speeding ticket since then, he has been an upstanding citizen. Personally I am over the whole Issue. If Dino Laurenzi forgave him I think we all can too. Also again, the point being why do other random fans hate him? Random Padre fan probably couldn't tell you the whole story. I get why Dodgers fans hate him. Besides that I don't get it.
  13. When Jenkins was on one of his hot streaks he was just astonishing to watch. I remember when Fielder Weeks etc first came up, Jenkins put it upon himself to handle all the media obligations so they the young guys could settle in easier. I always felt bad that his career ended right before we actually had a good team.
  14. Win-Loss Record: 87-75 Playoffs (Yes, No): Yes Highest Playoff Level Achieved: NLDS All Star Game Representative(s): Yelich, Knebal Offensive Player of the Year: Yelich Pitcher of the Year: Chacin Most Surprising Player: Chacin Most Disappointing Player: Cain
  15. I'm going to guess this. But could see after Woodruff moves into the rotation, then Williams gets called up.
  16. I'm a big fan of Villar or Sogard hitting 9th and acting as a second leadoff hitter in this lineup
  17. You make it sound like we know Miley is for sure not one of our best 5 starters. I'm not saying he is but I think there is definitely a chance he is. You could probably make an argument (not a good one) that Miley is one of the best 5. However, that is more of an indictment on just how bad the back end of the rotation is as much as it is a commentary of Miley's prowess. Right. Miley could very possibly be one of our best 5 starting pitchers. That doesn't mean that's a good thing. I would go with Guerra & Suter but I don't think it's that unrealistic to say he's one of our top 5. As far as the pen I think Williams & Hoover should both be there. Something like Knebal Hader Logan Barnes Jeffress Albers Hoover Williams. Send Guerra or Suter down until a 5th starter is needed and keep Aguilar for the time being.
  18. You make it sound like we know Miley is for sure not one of our best 5 starters. I'm not saying he is but I think there is definitely a chance he is.
  19. I fully expect Yelich to get plenty of spots at all 3 Outfield spots. Days Braun is at first or off Yelich will be in Left, Days Santana is off Yelich will be in right, and days Cain is off Yelich will be in Center.
  20. I still think we trade Broxton near the end of spring. Send Phillips to AAA. Aguilar sticks til we need a 5th starter and then we attempt to sneak him through to the minors(which probably won't work)
  21. I'm thinking Anderson Miley Chacin Davies then Suter once they need a 5th starter
  22. Guessing they really believe in these adjustments Miley has made?
  23. If it is only three years then I think this is the steal of the off-season
  24. Agreed. Let's wait and see if anyone reliat picks up on it. And also how much the contract is money and years wise. He put specific numbers out there.
  25. They must love Erceg.
