  1. Very cool that Israel is moving onto the next round and if I remember correctly it also means they have guaranteed a spot in the next WBC. Every time it seems like there is a team like this and those teams are always easy to root for
  2. Big upset win for Israel this morning!
  3. I think I side with the players belong to the city. I could never imagine Oklahoma City retiring Ray Allen's number. Even as a fan say the Diamondbacks moved to Milwaukee. I wouldn't consider Randy Johnson or Luis Gonzalez or any of their greats as a Milwaukee great. I never would have cheered for them.
  4. Outfield is on a tear to start. Brinson Broxton and Cordell all hot early on. Even Santana got an RBI yesterday. Really hoping Broxton can come in and establish himself this year.
  5. I agree shaving 10-15 minutes won't do much in the grand scheme of things. But if they could find more ways to get action where the ball is put in the play. One of Verduccis's stats was last season it took an average of 3 1/2 minutes between balls put in play. And that was even worse in the playoffs. In game 2 of the world series it was something like 5 1/2 minutes. In that game there were more visits to the mound than actual hits (14 visits to 13 hits). Those are things they need to work on. I think the change I'm the biggest fan of is the strike zone. Go back to the way it was with the top of the knee and then actually call the high strike. That should in theory cause more balls to be put in play
  6. With all the talk in the last few weeks on this. I really think both sides have some issues. If it is true the players are refusing to work with Manfred on this issue then it's hard to blame him for wanting to act alone. But that is obviously not the ideal way to make change in the sport. But change does need to be made, I have plenty of friends who refuse to watch baseball because it's too "boring". The article just put out by Verducci brings some great stats about how often a ball is put in play on average. I think more than actual game time they need to focus on a way to get more action in the game.
  7. The way things are going, the Brewers might have a shot at 2nd place in the division. I wouldn't predict it or say it's likely but I think it's in the realm of possibility
  8. Ah Spring Training is here! Finally! So let's talk some baseball, I wanna hear everyone's predictions for the upcoming season. Brewers Record: 79-83 Playoffs: No Brewers MVP: Villar Brewers CY Young: Chase Anderson Brewers ROY: Josh Hader First player traded: Braun before his full NTC kicks in Surprise player: Anderson Disappointing player: Davies World Series: Astros over Cubs
  9. That is a very helpful guide! Thank you!
  10. Yea we ended up having to get tickets to a cubs road game. And still paid a good amount for them. Thanks for the advice on the restaurants
  11. Hey guys, me and my family are making our first ever trip to spring training in March. Really excited to go. I was wondering if you guys had any general tips for there. We are staying in the Scottsdale area as I have heard Maryvale isn't the best area. We are planning on going to a couple brewer games and a cubs game(my grandpa is a cubs fan). The first day we are there we are planning on making the trek to see the Crew play at the Dodgers, then the next day is a home game vs the Giants, and the third day we are planning on seeing the cubs for a road game at the Diamondbacks. That leaves me with one day for free time that Friday so suggestions would be awesome. Also since it'll be during the second week of March madness anyone got any cool sports bars to go check out for the game? Any advice at all would be greatly appreciated!
  12. Right now. No trades or free agents I would go with: SP Hader SP Ortiz SP Woodruff SP F. Peralta SP Lopez CP Bickford SS Dubon RF Clark CF Brinson 3b Erceg 2b Diaz 1b Braun LF Ray C Susac
  13. I could see something like this but wouldn't an extra inning game kill a team that did this?
  14. Seems like a solid signing. Could be a good closer, possible flip candidate at the deadline
  15. http://mlb.nbcsports.com/2016/12/31/pirates-designate-willy-garcia-for-assignment/ Would not mind at all if the Crew put a claim in on him. Seems like a Liriano type who could fight for a roster spot
  16. SP: Davies Guerra Nelson Peralta Anderson RP: Knebal(cl) Marinez Barnes Torres Blazek Milone Cravy Garza(long relief) C: Susac Pina IF: Thames, Villar, Arcia, Shaw, Perez, Gennett OF: Braun, Broxton, Santana, Kirk N I think they go 8 man pen cause really how much would a 5th outfielder play? Also think a SP gets dealt and a reliever signed who is eventually our closer, and still think a good chance Braun and Scooter are dealt
  17. Do you think Villar or Arcia will play for anyone? Not sure what the rosters for their countries will look like.
  18. With the announcement that Luc is playing for the USA. It got me thinking, do you think any Brewers will play for any teams? I am looking to make a trip to spring training this year and was wondering what brewers I might miss. Plus it's always fun to watch those games and see some crew members playing
  19. So I kept hearing rumors at the beginning of the season of a logo/Uniform change. But over the last few months those seem to have died down. Any word on if this is in the works at all?
  20. Super excited to see where Arcia hits in the lineup. Guessing if Braun is still out he'll hit 2nd otherwise if Braun is in there I'll say 7th
  21. I agree I do not understand it, If we were going to do this why not do it a couple months ago in June? But yet I still can't help but be excited.
  22. Nimmo would be nice, but need Rosario in any deal with the Mets IMO
  23. Would think Boyer to. Our Bullpen could go through a major makeover in the next couple days
  24. What an awesome inning, it's amazing how despite the record the amount of fun I have watching this team, much more fun then the teams of the previous couple years
  25. I see nothing wrong with this move. Bring an extra bat up for a few days
