  1. Yea I don't understand wanting to return Walsh. He has showed he can get on base and it isn't like we have someone knocking on the door that he is blocking
  2. It'll be Presley which makes no sense to me, why call up a 3rd LH outfielder, why not give Reed a shot?
  3. Great game today! Love watching this team play, my only qualm is i would have loved to see Walsh get the start over Hill
  4. Loved the walk rate we had yesterday. Carter looked at his first ten pitches. That's crazy. And was awesome to see
  5. This is probably our best shot at a win this series and would like to see Nelson go deep in the game after yesterday.
  6. Would not mind adding him at all and dropping Boyer or Torres
  7. CC announced his lineup tomorrow as RF Santana SS Villar LF Braun C Lucroy 1b Carter 3B Hill 2b Scooter P Peralta CF Broxton
  8. The nice thing about having a crappy veteran bullpen is you could see the pen blow some games and give us more losses helping in the long run, a month ago I thought wed win 73 or so games. Now with all the injuries and arguably what was the strength of our team is now our weakest part I think 100 losses is a real possibility
  9. Well here we go, should be ugly in terms of wins and losses this season but looking forward to the young guys
  10. So opening day bullpen looks terrible Jeffress Thornburg Blazek Capuano Boyer Torres Pena Besides Jeffress I don't really trust anyone with late inning outs there
  11. Yea at this point, I think you have to go into the season with a pen of Jeffress Knebal Thornburg Blazek Morales Boyer Pena, with one of those last 3 being cut once Nolin is healthy
  12. I agree should the last three spots should go to Pena Morales and Boyer
  13. Right now I'm thinking Braun, Santana, Broxton, Flores are all locks, and I think Presley has a slight lead on Kirk N for the last spot but would rule out either Kirk N or Young for that spot either
  14. I would throw Morales into that as well. If i had to guess i would say Nolin and Morales make it
  15. So based on the spring rotation looks like were setting up Peralta Nelson Garza Jungmann Anderson
  16. https://www.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/national-league-central/milwaukee-brewers/ -2018 option vests at $13M if 2) has 115 innings in 2017 Bullpen calling Garza's name next season. I believe all 3 criteria have to be met for the option to vest
  17. Would assume Davies goes to AAA unless one of the 5 gets injured, traded, or implodes
  18. This. Not even worth trying to figure out the regular season order at this point. The only reason I brought it up, was RRR always had a habit of telegraphing his rotations even if he wouldn't name them
  19. After today's announcement of Jungmann getting the opening spring start and Anderson/Davies getting the next day in the split squad, that would currently lineup Jungmann as the 3 and Anderson as the 4 if I'm doing my math right. Whoever starts against the A's would lineup to start Opening day. Granted all of this could change
  20. Would think walsh will platoon with scooter. This is the obvious move. Let Cecchini start in AAA and gain good confidence back.
  21. Do you guys think scooter gets the start opening day or do we start right off the bat with a platoon?
  22. Best: the Segura trade, which is yet to be completed, have to assume hill will be flipped at the deadline and possibly anderson as well. Worst: Lind trade, while I dont think it was a terrible deal, is one of the few major feels that doesnt seem to get universal praise
  23. Agreed with both of you as well. Very much looking forward to this season. Hoping to see young guys get a chance and watching the minor leaguers develop. Another underrated aspect, is to me since the brewers are rebuilding, I won't care about wins and losses as much, which in turn will allow me to watch other games across the league and just enjoy games, obviously would rather the brewers do well but look forward to just be able to watch a game with no rooting interest
  24. That's true, and I was about to post the same thing. You never know but you almost have to wonder with a change of scenery could he have further benefitted from going to the Indians organization in that trade? Good luck to him! Wasn't Luc on that list as well?
  25. To me, it would make sense to go with 1B Carter 2B Gennett SS Villar 3B Cecchini IF Walsh IF Hill I don't see why we need both Cecchini and Middlebrooks on the major-league roster. Keep in mind Walsh can play OF too, so even if Counsell wants Rivera on the bench, Walsh could take the 5th OF spot as a utility OF/IF. Agree only one should be on MLB roster but based on Cecchini's AAA season last year I think it makes the most sense to have him start back there given his approach needs to be changed back to what it was and he might need just a little time to figure that back out. In the meantime Middlebrooks, who sucks, can sit at 3b with Hill filling in for him and Villar (even though he's mainly been a 2b he'll be used as a utility). I'd keep Rivera in AAA otherwise he's pretty much making the jump from AA to MLB as he didn't perform too well in AAA last year. If there's an injury then bring him up as hell at least play defense. Plus, if Villar is getting a lot of PT at SS then why bury Rivera on bench when already have Walsh and Hill. But in a scenario where the infield is Carter Gennett Villar Middlebrooks or Cecchini Walsh Hill who is the back up short stop? It has to be rivera right? so then out of those 6 who doesnt make the team? obviously will be answered in ST but if Walsh has a decent spring I would like to be able to keep him around, just not seeing a way that that is possible
