  1. This team can’t afford these type of mistakes and hope to be a playoff team. Broxton and Windmill need to be sat and made an example of. Send a message Craig.
  2. The new manager took him out in the 6th with 2 more plate appearances left vs. position players I don't like the new skipper already. Everyone is anointing LA as the best team in the NL since they got Machado. I hope Miley puts one in his ribs. I found that strange as well. Let him put up some historic marks. It would be nice to see Miley do that as well, but only if it gets him tossed from the game
  3. #sadtrombone Thanks for adding to the conversation. The Debbie Downer BF police have arrived!
  4. Be careful... You are bordering on “Debbie Downer” status here! Lol. Btw, I completely agree with you.
  5. Exactly what I am worried about. Hopefully the offense starts to carry its weight a bit more.
  6. Yeah, they are giving up. No use even showing up anymore. Sheesh! I get that it hasn't been a great week for Brewer baseball, but the Debbie Downers are starting to get a little overpowering around here. Awe, I am sorry for having an opinion that doesn’t match yours... I almost feel bad that you didn’t like it. The topic asked for what to expect out of the break. I gave an honest thought and hoped it wasn’t the case. Carry on...
  7. With our manager starting two of the back end rotation guys just out of the break, while on a 6 game skid, I would prepare to sell off some pieces. Gather enough now to withstand a big off season trade for a TOR starter (which is needed).
  8. Starting with two of your back end rotation guys against a 1st Place team, coming off the All Srar break, riding a 6 game losing streak.... Sorta feels like a white flag. Depressing. I hope I am wrong.
  9. Amazing considering how awful he was in June. I wonder if he found or changed something with his approach at the plate. The power seems increased compared to previous seasons.
  10. What would it take to get Syndergaard and deGrom? Asking for a friend I am not asking if we should, just what it would cost...
  11. Is it too late to offer up Josh Hader? Ugh...
  12. Wasn’t Stearns with Houston when we got Hader, Santana, Phillips and Houser from them? Hmmm
  13. If we get Machado now (as in this week), I wait until July 31st for my next move. If we are still in the division race I would love for them to then look at a arm such as Eovaldi. If we continue to slide even with Machado, I try to flip him (Machado) at the deadline to recoup some of what we gave up. DHonks had a good list of trade candidates and I would not want to give up anyone other then who he lists. I would hate to give up Williams or even Santana here though as I feel they both can still be a part of the future.
  14. They are 19-21 since June 1st. Hardly reactionary. Reactionary would be making a move to try to make a quick fix. That not even bad. Especially when you get to perfectly just fit in a big losing streak. Before this 6 game losing streak we were 19-15. That’s pretty good. Wait a week and it could be over .500. Hardly cause for concern. Mine is hardly reactionary as I actually started a thread on this prior to this losing streak. I want to sell high on some players. Following the break the Brewers have the Dodgers, Nationals, Giants and Dobgers (again). We will know a lot more closer to July 31st whether it is wise to go “all in”. Unfortunately as it stands now, and based on recent history, this don’t look good for the Brewers. At least not good enough to throw away players on a rental.
  15. They are 19-21 since June 1st. Hardly reactionary. Reactionary would be making a move to try to make a quick fix and mortgaging the future.
  16. I was speaking on the up and in pitch that hit Aguilar. If they needed a reason to light a fuse, that would be it. We have 10 guys on the DL, we get a couple hurt or suspended in a brawl and we will be resigning Sogard, lol Well having Sogard couldn’t be any worse then what is happening now. Lol
  17. please explain... I was speaking on the up and in pitch that hit Aguilar. If they needed a fuse lit, that would be it.
  18. It’s not Pittsburgh’s fault that we have sucked lately. I was speaking on the up and in pitch that hit Aguilar. If they needed a reason to light a fuse, that would be it.
