  1. Jesse Winker swinging out of his shoes like he’s trying to hit one over Miller Park Way.
  2. Jace Peterson getting his first start for the Brewers, batting 9th and playing LF.
  3. An interesting thought experiment... Would you trade Hader straight up to get Grisham back? I would not, but I wouldn’t be shocked if others would. I think Grisham is going to be a solid player, but right now I think he’s being inflated by his performance (and hype) over a very brief period.
  4. Posting this from Baseball Trade Values because I found it interesting, but I do not agree with the current valuations being this varied between Grisham and Urías...
  5. Use this site, it will save you the headache of doing any calculating: MLB Tankathon The top of the page is projected draft order and the bottom of the page is current playoff standings. The website updates immediately upon completion of each game.
  6. Here is a brief paragraph from Rosenthal's latest article in The Athletic: The Brewers, like most teams, are willing to talk about any player at any time, so it’s no surprise they again are listening on left-handed closer Josh Hader, just as they did at the Winter Meetings. No trade is likely, however. One rival executive says Hader is available, but only at a “bananas price.”
  7. Brandon Woodruff: Batter (Reds) vs Pitching Stats Luis Castillo: Batter (Brewers) vs Pitching Stats
  8. The Brewers are 12-15, and currently just 0.5 games out of the 8th playoff spot in the NL.
  9. A Brewers win and a game that took less than 3 hours... what a time to be alive.
  10. Well that was a much needed win. Hopefully they set the tone for good things to come this homestand.
  11. Eugenio Suárez has hit two home runs off Hader in 14 previous at bats. Edit: Not today.
  12. The Brewers seemed ahead of the curve with his past deployment and multi-inning usage. Obviously something has changed, it would be nice to know what specifically those reasons are.
  13. Trevor Bauer has thrown 127 pitches in a game each of the past two seasons. I didn’t know pitchers were still allowed to throw that many (one of those was only a 6.2 IP appearance).
  14. Devin Williams is fun to watch pitch. The level of confidence he has seemingly gained after just 20 some innings pitched in the majors is great.
  15. I think so, but then again they started last year 19-31 and won it all, so maybe it’s just their thing.
  16. The reverse is usually true as well. The Red Sox would like to have a word.
  17. Better yet is that Castellanos and Bauer are likely both gone after this season.
  18. Before that hit Hiura had never even put a ball in play against Bauer. Surprised he’d throw Hiura that apparent knuckle curve twice in a row instead of sticking with the fastball/cutters.
  19. Yes, he lunged at it and not only made contact, but somehow pulled it to the left side of the infield.
  20. Three double plays turned in four innings. We’ve been there Reds fans.
  21. Thanks, figured it had to be Bauer related. He’s pitching like he tipped back a few Budweisers.
  22. If Smoak gets in a power hitting groove it could certainly go a long way towards making this lineup look better.
