Yeah but only 118 career ABs vs lefties. And 10 home runs in those ABs. Maybe it’s just an anomaly, but he’s been really good versus lefties thus far. -
Muncy has impressive reverse splits. Career .949 OPS versus southpaws.
-
Hader getting squeezed in this at-bat versus Taylor. Three straight borderline pitches called balls.
-
David Freese always seems to be the proverbial thorn in the Brewers’ side.
-
At least he proved that a ballplayer actually has an idea that it might work... Just catching up on the IGT, wondering if I can get an assist on this. I know Grandal bunted against the shift in Cincinnati (but was thrown out by the pitcher). Did Travis Shaw also try to bunt against the shift at some point this season? I heard he did, but don’t recall seeing it.
-
Yaz Grandal, the biggest Dodger killer of the them all.
-
Not Joe Kelly, he cost $27 million.

Kiley McDaniel served in the Braves front office through the 2017 season. He was critical of the Acuña deal, and here are some of his comments on the Albies deal (Twitter Link): The quoted Tweet in that link is from Jeff Passan:

Reminder that the above information is no longer accurate as the Brewers gave up the Comp A selection in the trade for Alex Claudio (and they forfeited their 3rd highest selection for signing Yasmani Grandal). Looking at the draft, it is pretty much a crapshoot at this point (especially when you're drafting 28th overall), but Baseball America's newest Mock Draft has the Brewers taking Hunter Barco, a LHP out of Bolles High School in Jacksonville. The note ties the Brewers to being one of the teams showing interest in Barco this spring.

That low slider called a strike against Thames is inexcusable. Phil must have blinked.
-
Taylor Ward looks like a catcher trying to play 3B.
-
Disappointing to leave that inning with no runs. Seems like they’ve had more than their share of missed opportunities this series.
-
I’m here for the Orlando Arcia grand slam.
-
Moose has now had two singles that one hopped off the wall in this series.
-
Runners on 1st and 3rd, so home wasn't a force play. Yeah, good call.
-
Seems like they could have gotten the home to first double play there.
-
I think Woodruff is a starter, but going through similar growing pains to what Jimmy Nelson did at the same age.
-
Going to have to pull a Houdini act to get out of this one with minimal damage.
-
Well I can’t imagine having his hand swell up is going to do wonders for Travis Shaw’s swing (or throwing). EDIT: Coming out now.
-
Coming into tonight Braun, Shaw, and Aguilar have combined to go 0-for-25 with 13 strikeouts and 1 walk in this series. Hopefully that reverses course tonight for Braun and Shaw.
-
Lineups are posted. Obviously anything can happen in any given game with two major league teams facing off. That being said, if the Brewers lose this game versus that Angels lineup I will be disappointed.
-
He obviously won't hit tonight with the DH at their disposal, but so far the Brewers pitchers have combined to hit an impressive .333 BA / .391 OBP / .476 SLG / .867 OPS (24 plate appearances).
-
This was also posted in the starting pitching thread (Majors forum), but I figured the IGT crowd needed to see a positive pitching news related thing: Jimmy Nelson ridiculous off-speed pitches from extended spring training yesterday (via the Pitching Ninja)
