  1. I wonder if the Rockies will consider going with starter Antonio Senzatela if extra innings continue on?
  2. I want to see a Terrance Gore at-bat (actually, not really).
  3. Apparently Adam Ottavino didn't allow a hit on an 0-2 pitch in the regular season this year. Hitters were 0-for-36 against him on 0-2 counts. Sigh.
  4. Weird, you appear to be right. I missed that originally.
  5. Nailed it. Couldn't tell if the foot was down or not. If he was indeed out, then it was a dreadful slide because he beat the throw by a significant margin.
  6. It seems like his nerves are probably through the roof.
  7. I actually think the big outfield would play to our advantage. That is kind of what I was thinking as well. Can you imagine Cain and Yelich with all of that open green space to aim towards?
  8. I am cheering for the Rockies to win, but I am also kind of rooting for this game to end with a 1-0 final score.
  9. Wow, Dahl overrunning (and slipping?) on that flyball could prove devastating for the Rockies. Edit: Nope, Freeland continues on looking free and easy.
  10. Just saw this Tweet from earlier today and it made me smile:
  11. Very Cool. I am enjoying that. The "directional outs above average" graphic was really cool. Here is a screenshot of it if others are interested...
  12. Jon Lester seems to be getting an expanded zone and then some.
  13. Was that mentioned on the air? Yes, on the Statcast broadcast (ESPN2) they said he is somewhat of a Midwesterner because even though he was born in California, he spent 5 years at somepoint growing up in Madison, WI and then moved to Michigan before HS apparently.
  14. I had no idea that DJ LeMahieu spent five years as a youth living in Madison.
  15. Very Cool. I am enjoying that. The "directional outs above average" graphic was really cool. I agree! I had never seen that before, I really liked that graphic.
  16. The Rockies getting some good contact off of Lester so far, just not much to show for it...
  17. I think Kris Bryant is really struggling with the lingering effects from his shoulder injury. He seems to be a shell of the hitter he has been in the past.
  18. I don't think my blood pressure could handle a Cubs series. I hate them so much. I could handle losing to the Rockies. That is verbatim where I am at as well. Right now it feels like we conquered that mountain and I am ready to take on a different challenger regardless of which team is a perceived tougher current matchup.
  19. The Ivy just saved the Cubs from giving up a run... at least momentarily. Edit: Sac Fly gets the run in that the ground rules initially took away.
  20. I am enjoying the Statcast edition of the broadcast on ESPN2. I don’t know if I would want to watch it for a game in which I had a rooting interest, but enjoyable for this type of game.
  21. I guess we can add another accomplishment to the board...
  22. While I expect the Cubs to win tonight, it would be quite satisfying to have back-to-back days in which the tiny Wrigley Field visiting locker room was filled with champagne and celebration.
  23. Use this thread for discussion of the two Wild Card Playoff Games.
  24. Just got home from the game a few minutes ago and haven't read anything else on the board yet, but I was very impressed with how many Brewers fans showed up. A pleasant surprise today to have "Let's Go Brewers" and "M-V-P" chants at Wrigley. I am certainly excited for what is ahead, but part of me wishes this was like the end of the original Major League movie where you are left guessing if the magical run ever ends. I'm on cloud nine tonight!!!
