  1. Although the Astros line-up leaves a lot to be desired, I do enjoy watching J.D. Martinez play. It seems like he has the potential to become a very good MLB hitter. Pretty good value for a former 20th round draft pick.
  2. Looks like you can add Marlon Byrd to the Red Sox mix. Interesting to see how he fits in with his new team.
  3. BA coupled with CarGo's reaction got me really excited.
  4. Hits are Rockies 11 and Brewers 4, amazing they are within one in the bottom of the 9th.
  5. Have they mentioned which guys specifically are sick? A lot of the at bats so far have been lethargic.
  6. I actually started following the Sounds game instead. Go Nashville! How is Peralta doing? He has given up 3 hits and 1 run through 6.0 complete. Also, 1 BB and 3 K.
  7. Like swinging as hard as you possibly can against a 98 mph fastball.
  8. Not that it wasn't obvious enough it was a bad call, but Foxtrax just makes my blood pressure rise even that much more.
  9. The abruptness of the talks seemingly ending makes me think that they may be apart on years in addition to money. It seems possible Greinke's agent wants him signed for more than 5 years, and the Brewers are in no position to offer that length of a deal to a pitcher. Even 5 years is obviously a risk for the Brewers.
  10. Maybe the Giants factored in a cost of living increase.
  11. I have enjoyed watching him hit so far this season. He has made solid contact on many of his at-bats, and his swing looks much smoother than I expected. Obviously there is the qualifier that we are only 6 games into the season, but it seems like Gamel has the potential to be an above average #6 hitter this season.
  12. Seriously, is the bullpen being instructed to go out and set-up a save situation in the 9th?
  13. While the news is certainly disappointing, there was also some negativity surrounding the Giants negotiations with Matt Cain in March. The sides were even reported as being $75 million apart just a week before he signed his $100 million plus deal. While there is always a possibility that Greinke prefers to become a Free Agent at season end, there are a couple of positive indications that still leave me very hopeful about a deal getting done. For starters, Greinke seemed content to not have an agent until there was a reason to have one. He wouldn't have an agent right now if he didn't at least want to entertain offers from the Brewers. Also, Mr. Attanasio strikes me as an owner that wants to keep a good thing going. At least I hope so, because I certainly believe that retaining Greinke is a key to the Brewers remain a playoff contending team in the near future.
  14. With the Red Sox leading 10-7 entering the 9th inning, Aceves gave up 3 runs on 3 hits without recording an out and blowing the save for the Red Sox.....and then in the 11th Melancon blew a two run lead to lose 13-12. Looks like they might be in the market for a closer.
  15. He just hit another bomb. He absolutely smoked the ball to CF. The guy may hit under .250, but I have a feeling he is going to have one heck of a highlight reel by seasons end.

  17. Since when? When i worked there, we never turned people back just because they didn't have a club level ticket. Heck, never even checked them. I've gone in there myself many times(albeit not in 2 or 3 seasons, as i usually don't park by home plate) and never had a problem. Exactly! The tickets at the Club Entrance scan the same as at every other gate. I have entered at the Club Entrance approximately 60 times over the past 4 seasons, and have never had an issue. I just hope this doesn't make my wait longer now!
