  1. Does Brady worship also??? Homer K looking BB
  2. TBD's got a rubber arm. Yes he does...the guy is a machine! ...and Khalid will strike out 7 tonight. And the mancrush continues....
  3. E-8, good job Brady. Well, it should be an E-8. Keep your eye on the ball!!!
  4. I have no idea how none of you guys that follow Wisconsin College and High School kids do not know about Greg Reinhard playing for UW-Whitewater and originally from Marinette, WI. He played for the Madison Mallards last summer and threw a no-hitter and no one knows about him!?! He was Whitewater's #2 pitcher last year behind DIII player of the year Brady Endl and Reinhard started UW-Whitewater's final game against ECSU in the DIII College World Series and was pitching a 4 hit shutout in the bottom of the 9th inning with the Hawks up 1-0. He gave up a leadoff hit and Vodenlich stupidly put in a relief pitcher and on the first pitch the next guy hit a bomb to end the game 2-1. And he's off to another amazing season this year: Reinhard 33.2 innings pitched .176 average against 45k's 5 walks Shouldn't be an unknown.
  5. Looking forward to seeing how Parra and Gallardo will fare.
  6. NOOO!! Say it ain't so! LOL! I know, it's hard to believe isn't it. Go Jorge!
  7. I'm going to eat some crow here.... 2 pinch hitters in the game today.....no Wes Helms. I'm done saying Ned has a man crush on Mr. Georgia.
  8. Doesn't it almost seem as though they are being done in an Excel spreadsheet? I guess I'm saying that just by the way "Players" seems to be centered over a large center and merged cell and not left aligned over the players names, and also by the way that the last zero of the 1.000 batting averages are cut off with the cells not resized to fit them. But that is just a guess. I teach Microsoft Office and we are currently in our Excel unit. I really wasn't trying to be nitpicky about it either, it was just an observation. EDIT: Do they have programs for that kind of thing like they do for stats?
  9. Sutton is pissed because someone told him that the everyone in the stadium was going to have a moment of silence for the death of the Pope John Paul II who died an hour and a half ago at the age of 84. And just seconds after he said that, the sound crew or whoever started the seventh inning stretch with take me out to the ballgame instead.
  10. Anyone watching the game on TV listen to the Ben Sheets interview? He is such a great guy. Probably one of the most down to earth players to ever put on a Brewers uniform. I hope he plays his entire career in Milwaukee. I'm having a tough time establishing a man crush between Branyan, Lee, Sheets, and Capellan.
  11. Let's see if the vampire shows up in daylight!
  12. MY LORD people!!! Please, take a look at Jeff's stats for the last 4 years before you speak. I think you people would even agree that players decline majorly after the age of 30, what makes you think that Jeff of all people, ESPECIALLY after the last 4 years, is going to somehow magically reappear? Yeah, trade so and so because they are at their peak and we've seen their best and their value is at it's highest, but hey, sign Jeff Cirillo. Makes no sense.
  13. Greg Reinhart Hometown - Marinette, WI College - Sophomore UW-Whitewater Summer League Team - Wausau Woodchucks Pitched a NO-HITTER vs. the Madison Mallards on August 7th facing another WI pitcher Ryan Zink. www.woodchucks.com/newsse...cfm?id=510 Aug 7, 2004 REINHARD TOSSES NO-HITTER AGAINST MADISON With doubleheaders on back-to-back nights Wednesday and Thursday, Woodchuck manager Darin Everson needed a spot starter for Friday night's contest against the Madison Mallards. His choice? Greg Reinhard. The result? Reinhard threw a no-hitter against Madison, the second half South Division champions, in a 3-0 victory. Reinhard had been in and out of the Woodchuck starting rotation all season, posting a 4.31 ERA on the season. He struck out 13 hitters Friday night and missed a perfect game by hitting two batters. The 'Chucks offense provided the UW-Whitewater right-hander with three runs of support in the 3-0 win. The no-hitter is just the second in Woodchuck history, following only Lance Broadway's, which also came this season. Reinhard hit his spots all night long with a fastball in the high 80's and consistently fooled hitters with both a devastating slider and an incredible changeup. The 'Chucks got the only run Reinhard would need in the top of the first inning, when Jeremy Jirschele doubled and then scored on an error by the pitcher. Cody Montgomery extended the lead to 2-0 with an RBI double in the third and Danny Williams picked up a two-out, RBI single in the sixth to finish the scoring. Reinhard's only blemishes came in the second and eighth innings, when he hit a batter in each frame. Tony Daniel committed an error in the second when he tried a snap throw to first base after Reinhard had hit a batter. Reinhard moves to 2-2 on the season with the win, while his ERA drops to 3.35. Ryan Zink took the loss for the Mallards to fall to 4-6 on the season. The 'Chucks will wrap up the road series with Madison Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. The action can be heard on WXCO 1230 AM or on www.theallsportsnetwork.com. Visit the All Sports Network to listen to Reinhard's no-hitter under the archived games. - Written by Dusty Nielsen -

  16. http://www.noah.cheyer.com/images/1-15-02-8h32sweep2.jpg SWEEP!!!!
  17. Why not DH Grieve and put Ginter in right??
  18. I also noticed the same things about his throwing motion after watching the mlb.com video. go brewcrew, I'm going to add to what you said about pitching mechanics. You may know more than most here, but not all, so I will add something. The day we learn everything about baseball is the day we should quit watching it! Which is never. The thing that I noticed the most was the way that Mark crouches over when he's supposedly reaching his balance point. It really looks like he needs to strengthen his core(abs, back, and obliques). The less extra movement in his delivery the better he will be at repeating his delivery and the more consistency he will have. Also, if he stays more upright in his delivery he will create a better downhill plane to the plate. As his delivery is right now, his plane to the plate is that of a 5'10 pitcher instead of a 6'2 pitcher. That's just my opinion. The biggest thing you will see with high school pitchers is their weak core. This is why many of them develop arm problems because of the way they hunch over or lean backwards when they throw. IMO, this is what he needs to work on the most. After watching the mlb.com videos I would also have prefered Homer Bailey just by watching the throwing motions and taking into account where they are both from and the competition they faced. The Brewers must be really banking on Rogers ability to tweak his throwing motion because it looked to me like Bailey had very good mechanics already. I hope Rogers proves me wrong.
  19. Let's hope we sign him today or tomorrow and get him to the Rookie League. He's giving every indication that this will be a quick signing. Does this mean he's willing to take a little less than slot value and he just wants to play? Didn't he state that he's not in it for the money? I could care less what he gets, I like his attitude about wanting to sign right away and playing as a Brewer. Kudo's to him for wanting to win a state championship for his high school. It's too bad they lost, good effort though. Let's hope he's blazing 95 MPH fastballs by people in the next couple weeks!
  20. Now THIS is a good lineup!!! Doesn't it look so much stronger? Yost finally came to his senses. Let the lineup speak for itself today. Well, I don't know....those shadows...
  21. I feel bad for that poor soul that Prince ran over like a runaway freight train. Poor poor soul.
  22. but he did complain about there being nothing to do in Milwaukee. That upset me a little, but not much. When I heard he said that it didn't really upset me, I just kind of nodded my head and shrugged my shoulders and said to myself, well, he's got a point. Not too much to argue there. Milwaukee isn't exactly New York or LA.
  23. Bjames, have a beer. What is your problem! DROP IT!! Wow, coming from someone who's opinion I respect, disappointing. Let's talk baseball and not about losers can we?!? Afterall, that's what this site is for and what this forum is for. Go off-topic if you want. Good post Senator, I hope to see Sheets still throwing with his velocity up in the 95-97 area tonight without any problems with that back.
  24. I agree with Bill that booing Sexson would be pretty dumb for Brewer fans to do. He gave his all here and played on losing team after losing team and never said boo or complained about it like some loser. He was very professional and still is and I wish him the best in Arizona. I just hope he goes 0 for the year against the Crew that's all.
  25. bjames opened my eyes---I now promise to get high only in approved of ways. So only alcohol, tobacco, caffine, and "diet pills" for me! --- no shyt, talk about being hypocritical. he was probably drinking a beer as he was typing the post, or a cup of coffee or smoking a cigarette, while digesting his prozac for the day. Just cause the so called government makes it illegal, doesnt mean its wrong in my book. Hey hey heeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyy And what is hypocritical? Do you even know the definition? You're right, I was drinking a beer from my office at the high school. Good one. Just because the government makes it illegal doesn't mean it's wrong in your book huh. You rebel you. I bet you're one of those people who thinks they know it all aren't you. Didn't listen to your teachers, parents, or coaches because hey, you make the rules. Maybe you just weren't brought up right and your parents are right next to you when you toke up. It's fun to joke about it, but nothing about smoking pot is cool or right. So don't try, you sound like a moron, hey hey hey..... How about we turn this post into a Brewers vs. Diamondbacks thread!!! Wouldn't that be something?!?
