  1. This is amazing. The guy has never, never been hurt in the arm. I cannot even remember any niggles. I was just thinking 8 inning 105 pitches and then wham. Wow. Any info you can give guys.... please.
  2. Either fight over PM or just let the other guy have the last word. We won't think less of you if you don't post last. Talk about the game below this line, or your post will be in danger of deletion OK, then I will post ABOVE the line (see below). Thanks Ralph. Hey, I love to nitpick. I actually finally had enough of Ned a couple of weeks ago (and posted such). But he has done a pretty good job lately (his pitching handling is getting better). And I know there are reasons he does what he does. And I am sure he is not drunk in the dugout. This team is not too bad. I actually think they are going to develop into a really good mob over the next couple of years. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Now that I am below the line. This game was a shame. So many chances. And to get beat on a couple of dribblers, whilst we smash line drives all over the place to be caught. Darn, darn, darn. Hey, can anyone give a heads up on Corey in center. Does he seem ok. You must be able to judge his jumps on the ball by now.
  3. I pointed out in MY opinion some 'minor' managerial errors. Well, I said Ned managed today with his gut more than with stats. And actually, Ned's gut decisions were much, much better than a stat manager would have made. Ned helped his team have a better chance to win today. But the first YOU was fired by yourself. To come out and say my purpose of posting is to RIP NED is pretty annoying to me. You think I get up at 4 am to follow a Brewer game is so I can RIP NED. And the dude who says I am one of the biggest Ned bashers here should actually read what I say. Ned is a good bloke and he loves Milwaukee. What I say is not BASHING Ned, it is bashing things that hinder our team and players. Ned made a joke out of Wes last year. Ned attempts to make a joke out of Mags this year. I have never seen a manager get so many UNFAVOURABLE matchups in a game. I have never seen a team with so many relievers overworked and so many underworked. So, I comment (bash?) things that hurt the team I love.
  4. Ralph you actually said this you are just searching for something to rip on Ned about I dont appreciate it. Am I allowed to have a go back at you? And this was after I said so, so gently he made some managing errors.
  5. guys, I dont really care too much, but let me point out 1) I GENTLY said I think Ned made some errors and not even big errors... no big deal 2) but then I am accused of... whatever... Ralph has a go at me 3) I defend myself And you 'boys' now agree that I 'started' it and should back down... gimme a break will ya You all must be fun to sit down and watch a football game... do you demand complete silence and no talking in the 30 seconds between plays... you would not want to question a call Ralph attacked me... (do I even care), but I do think it is like the bully crying when someone stands up to him are you sure you guys are not all 12 years old?
  6. wow, two infield singles and the quest for .500 is delayed another week remember how it was PROVEN we do not have a problem hitting with runner in scoring position... yet a few days ago we were the 7th best batting team without runners in scoring position, but the 13th best with RISP today that cost us a game maybe it is not mental or choking or lack or heart... but, man oh man it is something for some reason, we keep failing at the last hurdle.. the stats prove it... our batter just cannot get it done with a guy standing on 2nd or 3rd how sad
  7. another blunder by Ned... why did he not let Derrick bat... Prince could have been saved for later... and look at the result since Prince grounded out, that PROVES it was the wrong move (just joshin by the way, but you will find a wee bit of truth in there if you scratch around; but maybe you spent too many years in Georgia to dig through a mid west boys wit)
  8. well that was easy... 9 pitches 2 ks and a 3 outs ok calling you wet noodes did not work begging to get Davis a win did not help is it true that Helms has the biggest heart on the team; do we only have one clutch guy I know... what will get a run... if you guys get a run, you can go home immediately, and you can stop by any atm and pick up your pay check GET A RUN
  9. turnbow has unreal stats... 1.86 era 45ks 21bbs but he always scares me, especially when his first pitch is way wide of the zone please bowman.... please be a good bowman
  10. oh goodie, Ned's family is back posting here; I gently point out some errors (in my opinion) and even gently say 'not big errors' but of course my purpose in life is to RIP NED Dear Ned's Family Please let some people have an opinion other than yours. And please realise that Ned can make an error. And please understand we know he is not perfect, but we like him anyway. And please, somehow, sometime try to open you own eyes and be a tiny fraction objective. Or even understanding to other peoples opinions.
  11. we have 10 hits in 7 innings, they have 5 hits through 8... I think we DESERVE to win c'mon you wet noodles... score a RUN
  12. remember when the crew had bases loaded a few weeks ago in a close game with nobody out and the middle of our order struck out here we get a lead off double in a tie game late, and top of our order proceeds to strike out... not a ball in play do you really think that is just conincidence or bad luck or is that a little bit of choking going on
  13. my money is on Carlos, that is what he came here to do, get rbis... I think Mota can only go one inning now, the guys have done ok against him
  14. I think Ned has made a number of managing errors today as pointed out here. But the players are sure overcoming that. They are not big errors, but Ned is sure telling the stat gods that his gut is more powerful than them.
  15. Some guy batting .312 is standing on second base for us. I am confused.
  16. Doug can stay. He knows how to get to .500. Gutsy, gutsy performance. I wonder if the offense has enough ticker to collect ONE RUN to get Davis a win and get to .500. To be honest, our batters are annoying me, but seems to be more bad luck than choking. But I want them to do a good job each pitch, not just start hacking which is their tendency when things get tight. Great job Doug. Now batters, get ONE RUN.
  17. Well Ned, let us try some hit and runs... the guys are pounding the ball, not missing, and hitting into a double play each inning. We are on track for 20 baserunners for two runs scored. Ouch.
  18. yes sir we are killing in on the hits, bad luck it is not how baseball games are scored.... we are on pace for 21 hits yielding three runs. darn
  19. Why DL him for 15 days when he might only miss 3 or 4? Doesn't make much sense... I hope he is only slightly hurt. Do you have some news that says he is so badly off that he cannot even pinch hit? But that so badness will be gone in 3 or 4 days?
  20. Thanks for the explanation guys re Branyan. But if a guy is so sick he cannot pinch hit, why is he not DLed?
  21. Why would Magruder bat in front of Branyan. This is really confusing. Ned seems to be improving, but he still leaves me head scratching. Branyan was our best chance to score runs (the long ball). And also if we needed some emergency outfielder Mags could have been defensive replacement. Heck he probably should have been ANYWAY with a two run lead. And we had two third baseman on the bench. So to pinch hit with one and have a spare in case of emergency would have been the right thing to do. So, all in all, Ned got that decision wrong on EVERY angle. But it did not matter. And I am quite happy with all Ned's other decisions. But he sure gets some obvious ones wrong. It shows me he still has underlying favourtism going at the expense of the other players and the teams record. (just my opinion) On to FIVE HUNDRED.
  22. And now Dana with an easy 1-2-3. Another young guy. I like this. Six outs away from tomorrow's most important game of the year... the .500 game.
  23. Good job Ned pinching Ohka... I was scared he would leave the guy in. Our bullpen is so rested. They must hold a two run lead over the last 3 innings. And let's score another run. The young guys are leading the way. BRILLIANT.
  24. ahhh, but let us go the lucky rather than good and smart route today. C'mon Crew make September fun... make TODAY fun
  25. I give up... what logic EVER states you intentionally walk a guy with one out one on in the FIRST inning.
