    K's matter for pitchers and not hitters??? What kind of logid is that? Arent the wishes of pitchers and hitters dyametrically opposed? Whats good for one is bad for the other and vice versa? If a k helps the pitcher I can only assume it hurts the batter and the batters team. K's matter. Its just stupid to think they dont. Runner on 3rd 1 out. K rules. Sac flies sucks.

    I dont know but....before todays double..Espn had Overbay projected him at 88 for the season. They also have him on a 162 rbi clip.

    17-16 is nice but not unexpected. The fact that these players happened to all be wearing Brewer uniforms this year led people to believe that they would suck. I dont think anyone (outside of Overbay) is playing significantly better than projected. In fact Helms and Ginter are underacheiving. Moeller is not exactly playing up to the level I thought he would. Councell isnt doing much. Grieve has been up and down. I said since March that this is a pretty solid team who could hang around .500 and make be in the Wild Card hunt after 145 games. I went on to say that they would be 26-24 on June 1st. I just didnt see any gaping holes on this roster that would lead me to believe they couldnt play with the rest of the league. There arent a lot of teams who can say they have it all.

    ginter is taking way to many inside pitches. This may be splitting hairs but......after Pods singles with 2 outs shouldnt Ned and Councell conspire to give Scotty a shot to swipe a bag???? CC swings away at the first pitch and bleeds one into lf for a single but having Pods at 2b might have scored a run.

    BJ the fact that Hardy is the SS of the future is all the MORE reason to play Hall now. Hall should be showcased right now. If he gets hot and stays hot his stock will increase dramatically and he could be flipped for some other needed positions. No one is going to overpay for Councell even if he gets hot because we all know exactly what he can do. Hall is a bit of a question mark but has the ability to be a really good offensive SS. With Hardy on the way, now is the time to showcase Hall and see what he can bring back in a future deal. Besides all that, Councell cant hit. Here's a novel idea. If you are barely hitting .200 and your OPS is hovering around .600 how about STOP batting like a complete fool. Stop raising your bat 4 feet above your head and just rest the bat on your shoulder. It looks foolish and it ISNT WORKING. Jeeesh.

    Its ANOTHER very winable game that the Brewers DIDNT win. They have to win games like that. I am not big on Ned Yost right now. I dont think he is being fair to Bill Hall at all. If Councell HAS to play, cant we at least stick him in the 8 hole? He flat out sucks as a number 2 hitter. The minute spivey is back should be Helms last game as a starter at 3b. I am getting royally sick of this.

    besides the fact that Hall is better than councell here is another reason to play Billy all the time. We have Hardy in the wings. Hall is young with big upside. If Hall goes out and performs at a high level he would be great trade bait for Melvin. Hall might be able to be packaged for some pitching if his stock goes up. It wont go up sitting on the pines.

    AJAY......Yost blew it again. There is no way Councell should have had that AB with Hall on the bench. Yost is really begining to bother me.

    Am I the only one getting really p*ss*d at Ned Yost for this crap? How in the hell is Helms in the lineup again? How is Councell in the lineup AGAIN?????? How many terrible swings before helms gets benched? How many butchered plays at 3b? If I were Bill Hall I would feel very cheated. Why dont we go the whole way and bench Overbay for a few days to keep him fresh.
