    now we are using wes obermueller as a pinch hitter. What the hell happened to the team that was 7 games over 500??? This whole season has sickened me now. What a joke of a team at this point. Yost has lost it. The team sucks. The attitude of the team sucks. The fans have been awesome. The state got behind this team. The attendance has been great. The team is aweful right now. What a difference a month makes. I am now officially anxious for football season.

    Does Helms have any ties to Shane Eckert or Tonya H? I would let Branyon go up to the plate swinging a piano leg with one good hand rather than let Helms play.

    The more I think about this the madder I am getting. Yost has a lot of nerve playing clearly inferior players at 3b and rf. He plays Helms and Clark over Branyon and Grieve?? The talent level of these players is beyond obvious. This could have ramifications in the coming years in regards to players wanting to play for Ned. Who would want to come to Milw knowing they are a better player than the competition at your position but sitting routinely on the bench because you arent one of Ned's pets? It sucks. Neds reputation is going to be that of a den mother who plays his favorites over better players at the expense of the rest of the team, the fans, and the standings. I am getting really annoyed with this.

    branyon not in the lineup? Yost is really getting on my nerves. I have been a huge Yost supporter since his hire but I am begining to think he is playing some political games with melvin. Get real Ned.

    Jenks takes off on a hit and run and gets doubled up and somehow its HIS fault? Its bad luck. It has nothing to do with Jenkins not paying attention. There is no way he could have reversed field and got back to the bag on a hit and run.

    Despite what everyone keeps saying, this team still can put together a run and get back into the wild card picture. Lets say for instance that Milwaukee sweeps NY and takes 2 of 3 from Florida. That would put the Brewers at 56-54 and probably within 3-4 games of the WC spot. Anything can happen, and a winning stretch of 15-5 or something could make things interesting again. I am not saying its likely, but I AM saying that the fate of the team still rests with the players to get it done. Winning 15 out of 20 isnt impossible.

    Dusty must have though DD was a lefty hitter. Why else would he bring in the lefty to attempt to shut him down this early in the game? Wierd!!

    Ned wrote WH in the lineup for 3b. Dang. I was hoping for an early wedding gift. THis HAS to be the end of the string for WH though. Don't you think? I mean come on. Maybe 25 more useless AB's, and then banished to the bench?

    Thanks guys.... For the record she is a great girl. In fact, she is a Brewer fan too (plus she is gorgeous!) She has much more patience watching the games than I do so that helps. I am a lucky guy! I think she might be the only one around who has a bigger crush on Jenkins than I do! Just kiddin'! I know I defend Jenks alot, but I really feel like the guy has the stroke to produce big time. I appreciate the good thoughts guys!. Whether or not I can watch the games in Mexico I will be thinking about the Brew Crew and hoping they get hot! Now lets go out and kick Prior's ass tonight and start the weekend off right!

    Dhonks... If you'll remember, the official scorer went back and changed the ruling on the play following the game. The result was that all of Priors runs were earned.

    This might be the last game I get to watch until the end of the month!!!! Getting married saturday and then its off to the Riviera Maya for a week!! I am not sure if the resort is going to have access to any of the games or not!!! Lets make it a good one boys!

    I was at the game too and I dont blame the crowd for being quiet. We were loud in the 1st when they actually got a hit. They didnt do anything to deserve one clap after the 1st until Overbay bailed them out again. My main observation of the 1st half is that Wes Helms is not a good baseball player and never will be. Yost has got to pull his head out the sand and get him out of there. Jenks has got to move around in the box or something because he is killing us. Same story every day. K's and tappers to 2nd. Podsednik is the worst defensive CF in MLB. Hart and Hendrickson should be called up asap. We are still in the wild card hunt so thats the main thing.

    ....during rickie's brief stint in Milw the first thing I noticed in the first AB was the uncanny similarity between Weeks and Hank Aaron. This first thing out of my mouth was something along the lines of "he looks exactly like hank aaron". The stance is there, hopefully the production will follow!!!

    I think this team should be sellers. Lets start by putting all the bats up on EBAY. We don't use them and they are in nearly mint condition. There must be a table leg in the clubhouse everyone can walk up there with and wave around.

    Maybe I am stupid...but the espn board is saying that Santos was arrested on drug charges after the game. I am half panicking.....someone debunk this quickly.

    Santos is a kick ass pitcher. Stone is usually very fair and impartial, I must admit. He is a very knowledgable announcer but if he thinks Santos isnt that good, he hasnt been watching. He can touch 93 with a tailing fastball, throws a good hook and can make guys look foolish with a splitter. All with good control. Bite me Stone.

    For a man of Wes Helms size and strength he has absolutly NO opposite field power. Has he ever hit an oppo shot? I dont understand him at all.

    Batman.... I disagree....I encourage people to watch and listen to the Cubs TV announcers just to see how awful it is. Maybe the complaints about Darron and Bill will slow down if the alternative is known. The Cubs announcers will make you vomit though, so be prepared.
