  1. Well the Ninjitsu master did qualify it by saying that there would be no way that a Ninja would attack another warrior straight up like that. As he put it, ninjas cheat.
  2. The way McGehee has been hitting with his playing time, its hard to compare him to the others.
  3. Gerut gets Gwynn's number. Is #22 only to be used by CF's?
  4. That's the description I was looking for. He throws "out" pitches till he gets behind the count and is forced to throw it over the plate and gets rocked. It is similar to facing a pitcher in unlimited arc softball, especially a guy who wants to throw it high on every pitch. You just let him throws those high balls that arent even close and force him to throw the 6' pitch for a strike and jump all over it.
  5. While I wouldnt go as far to call him a mental midget, I do agree with the notion that Parra seems to not have the ability to handle adversity well. I also agree with that I would rather watch a Suppan game any day of the week over a Parra game. Parra just nimbles and it seems that every count goes 2-2 or full.
  6. if it isnt a ball its right down the middle for Parra and they are teeing off on him.
  7. Next thing you are going to tell me is that the sun will rise tommorow.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  8. I would go with Trex, Timber Tech or Azek would be the brands I would go with. Both offer decking and railing. As for the rest of your porch, I would say it would be about 1500-2000 for the deck it self with out the decking. You would need to knock out your front stoop, add a ledger board and the rest of the framing plus footings for the front portions. I would probably add 1.5-2x that for the columns and over hang due to having to cut into your siding and attach it to your house. To be safe I would guess it would be around $5-7000. That is a broad guess, but with out knowing exactly what you have going on there. There are so many builders out there begging for work that you should get 3-5 bids, and never take the lowest price. One thing I would check though is with the city in regards to how close to the property line(sidewalk) you can be. You are set back a ways, but you never know with city ordiences.
  9. I think this line from the comments sums up this story and thread " My eyeballs are ticked at my mind for making them read it" **Bad word edited out**
  10. Its hard to do research from a pedestal. I am still at a loss how this is disrespectful, there is no gesture to the other team. Its not like the Brewers are pulling up their shirts and flashing the other team or worse reenacting the scene from Braveheart.
  11. Reading between the lines of the that blurb, it made it pretty clear that LaPorta was not liked at all by his team mates and didnt treat people well and only thought about himself.
  12. "Were you making love to him while on a couch shaped like his mustache?" That was classic I dont think there is ever a time when a guy running down the street naked on crutches isnt funny.
  13. Thread jinxed him.
  14. One of two things is going to happen with Pam, either she is going to fall on her face and end up right back as the receptionist which would lead to an ending of an episode with Michael or someone commenting how everthing is back to normal. Or the other would be that she totally kicks butt, even out selling Jim, which emasculates(sp) him and he tries to sabotage her into failure so she ends up back as the receptionist.
  15. It might be the point of her character, to be so flat that it brings out the humor of the other parts of the show.
  16. "I just got done with a gig with my band '3 skin', it was '4 skin' but our bassist left for personal reasons." made me laugh pretty hard, especially combined with the name of his band from the week before "Just the Tip" Tom is the best character by far on the show. Him in the background when the city planner(name escapes me) was apologizing was great.
  17. This was 10x better then the first episode. Everything from the Rock Band scene, to the molestor to Chris's band name "Just the Tip".
  18. His catch phrase is great. I like it when they are showing his career highlights and he is done in Atlanta and in his presser he says "I done with Atlanta, you know what Atlanta (insert inappropriate catch phrase here)."
  19. I was watching the game live when it happened. First off, if Abreau didnt back out of the box the ball would have ear holed him. Even if you cant stop your motion most guys end up throwing the ball into the dirt in a situation like that. Second, after it happened, you could see BA mouth(this will be cleaned up) "What the heck was that" and Beckett immediatly goes on the defense and appears to be blaming BA for not calling TO. MS comes out of the dugout and immediatly walks towards Beckett and repeatadly says "What the Fudge was that all about" and Beckett gets right into his face about it. To me it appeared that if Beckett didnt mean to do it he wouldnt have been as aggressive as he was. What angered the Angles was his reaction to BA questioning the throw.
  20. How Brewers of last year of them, bases loaded, no outs and no runs
  21. I wonder what the record for runs walked in, in one inning, You would think that 4 would be up there. As to the strike zone, when your last 20 pitches or so were no where close you arent going to get the benefit of the doubt.
  22. Some people complain about booing a player, but walking 3 in and basically being totally ineffective is more then deserving of being booed.
  23. First two years played AA as a CF. Third year make the Brewers out of camp as the starting CF. Have started all year, batting .355, 67 game hit streak, 5 HRs, 32 RBI( I lead off so thats why its so low) and 24 SBs and I end up 6th in CF voting for the All star game and dont make the team. What the heck is that all about?
