  1. Especially if by the "report" you are going to just move up the bench coach.
  2. Homer is correct. In fact on the inception of the Blog TH stated that this is the purpose of the Blog, to give updates and address certain rumors. Because of the Blog he would have been criticized if he didn't talk about it, whether it be from posters or MJS.
  3. lolly pop throw, and like most first basemen usually catch it and drop it out of your glove to your throwing hand to throw it around. Well it looked like he got ahead of himself. Or he just flat out dropped it due to being lazy.
  4. To borrow a line from Weekend Update "Really?!? 23 left on base Brewers?!? Really?!?"
  5. The Offsprings song (name escapes me) sums up the Brewers perfectly. Treated like crap, say I wont go back, but am right there watching the next game.
  6. for all i know these shows do not exist, as 10:30 is the absolute latest i am awake during the week and even then it is under major protest of my wife. I have never see Jimmy Kimmel Live nor Craig Ferguson. With that said, Jimmy Fallon has Rob Deer written all over him, he is either going to hit a bomb or strike out in fantastic form.
  7. Are implying that the ball flys on an inverted arc? If so, then you are just wrong. You cannot not throw a ball hard enough on a downward angle with enough velocity and spin in order to cause enough lift to carry the weight of the ball and defy gravity and momentum.
  8. it may maintain a certain a certain plain longer then other fastballs, but again a pitch does not rotate fast enough to produce lift, especially when thrown from a downward angle as pitches are.
  9. not to bust balls, but a pitch cannot rise, unless thrown at an upward angle. There isnt enough spin on the ball to give it lift. See Mythbusters for the evidence.
  10. Got our $1500 in the mail, my $600 is going towards either a newer car or replacing the 6 yr old 65" Big screen in the basement with a plasma(anyone want to buy a 65" bigscreen? The wife and 22 month old are undecided on what they are going to buy with they're $600 and $300 respectably.
  11. -Cad/Design/Estimator for a HVAC company. For having three different titles, which only two are related i only do about a 2-3 hours of actual work in a week, the rest of my time is done reading here and other sites.
  12. You can lead a horse to water......
  13. first owning a bike would be a key to this to be even thought about for me.
  14. "Bush had a Marcel projection of 4.55 ERA going into this year, with the average NL starter having a 4.65 ERA last year. Bush has also gotten off to a horrible start but with the injuries to Gallardo and Capuano and the dismissal of Vargas, there are no decent options (IMO) left to take over for him. Weaver has a Marcel projection of a 5.33 ERA, so a couple nice AAA starts is not going to convince me that he's gotten control of whatever troubles he's had over the last few years." This is the one thing i hate about Baseball stats guys, you go with projections over production. There is no reason given his performance this year that Bush should be in the rotation, same could be said with Villy and Manny but at least they are young and could improve(see the whole Detroit Tigers staff).
  15. I equate this Brewer season to your straight A student going off to college and getting into booze and drugs and slowly declining and about to flunk out 3 semesters into school. You know and have seen the talent that your child possesses but they are just throwing it all away. Now if you want to add in that your child has an academic advisor that is totally inept at his job then there ya go.
  16. fixed for youhttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  17. Just to point out, but by the definition of the rule the strike zone varies from batter to batter due to different sized players. Now if you are saying that the high/low strike gets called on one player vs another then i am on board with that.
  18. Again my biggest complaint with RTTS is that no matter how good you do, it all depends on your rating where you go the next year. I got called up in May, should have led the league in batting .363 but didnt have the ABs, won rookie of the year and made the All-Star team. So what happens the next year, i get a contract offer for the Bench in AAA.
  19. you can change the GTP setup, change it to Classic 4 that way you only have 4 sections to choose from, alot easier.
  20. i had to ask someone at work if he actually came back with the team from ST. I may have seen him a couple times in the dugout and at that a good 20' away from Yost's perch in the corner of the dugout. Also the times that i see him he is never talking to anyone, just sitting there by himself. It is like he is the person that would come to your class in school and just "observe" the teacher teaching.
  21. not to mention you have Vinnie who might be able to bridge a year or two till those guys are ready
  22. to follow up, even had they responded most likely she would have been dead anyways, they may have had a better shot at catching him but if she was calling when he broke in then she didnt have much time to live anyways.
  23. not to play this card but this type of situation happens every day across the US, this isnt all that new or odd of a case. Now not everyone is about to be killed but stuff happens. You also have to factor in the amount of false 911 calls that these people get in a day, could you imagine the cost of investigating every one, they do have to use some discretion and this time it bit them in the butt.
  24. 9,171,500/.55 = 5,044,325-2% = 4,9434385 - minus housing and cars i would say if he saved and invested well that he should have about 1-1.5 mil in the bank. I am pretty sure he is going to need to work to maintain the lifestyle he is use to or maintain his home(s) that would cost about 20,000-30,000 a year to maintain. Since he only played 5 seasons his pension isnt going to be that great.
  25. I have both the 360 and PS3 and can say that the PS3 is alot better in my opinion. Of course i only have the 360 hooked up through a Svideo cable while the PS3 is done through component. I have just always been a Sony guy.
