  1. Cards - bases loaded with 2 outs. Sorry, I know this is the wrong thread, but figured everyone would want to know.
  2. Man, when he hit that, it looked like we didn't even have any OF's in the field. Where the hell were we playing him? Standing on the right field foul line and two guys in left field?
  3. Can't say I've really thought about it. I will commit to at least this: If the Brewers win the World Series, I'll change it. But now the closer I look at that pic, the more the twinkle in her eye and sly smile on her face is turning me on. Maybe you should just leave it.
  4. Interesting thought on Braun re: his "swagger" (they were just talking about his confidence). It seems like the little cockiness (or confidence) will help him with this fast start in that it won't go to his head as easily as someone with a lesser opinion of himself. So in this case it's probably a very good thing because I believe he honestly expected this start from himself.
  5. Wow - 18 2/3 scoreless in a row by Gallardo. Very impressive.
  6. WIll someone please give me their opinion about Yo tonight. How deep do you want him to pitch in this game? Who should be the 1st guy out of the pen? Great question and you should get many opinions, which shows how difficult Yost's job is. Everyone will think something differently. The way he's pitching, I'd say let him go the distance. However, given the season-long pitch count issue, that may have been his last inning. Or anywhere in between!
  7. So what is it Rluz? Wendy for life? Or Wendy in glamour pic?
  8. Adam Dunn bunting. Next it'll be Balfour throwing two scoreless innings and hell freezing over. There's a better chance of Dunn bunting four straight at bats than Balfour thowing two scoreless innings.
  9. Come on, Laurel probably had her do a little glamour shot for his wallet! For those days when he was on the road and lonely...
  10. Hey Russ, when are you going to change your aviater, or are you keeping it for your entire career at brewerfan.net? That's a great question. I probably have a subconscious negative opinion of you just because of that damn picture!! Don't you at least have a nice, tasteful lingerie shot of her you can put up?
  11. Been funny listening to the criticism on the broadcast about Hatteberg not being a typical leadoff hitter.....when we've had a 6'6" guy leading off!! I know position-wise it's unique for a 1B, but they just keep dwelling on it! Instead, they have a 2B that has 20 HR's instead of a lead-off hitter!
  12. Moneyballman, Not that there is anything wrong with that An even better one from Seinfeld! I wouldn't have misquoted that one...
  13. Wow, Dunn really is a big, ugly guy, isn't he? (Note that I have a long-standing, unblemished record of heterosexuality. - that's from Seinfeld - even though I don't have it verbatim, before anyone takes offense and goes off on a tangent here!)
  14. Agree. I think Yost would do whatever possible (without sacrificing their playoff chances) to get him the at bats he needs to make it. But we have a lot of season left. Hard to really tell how close he'll be and if he'll keep his average this high. It would be great, though!
  15. The only thing that concerns me about Weeks is the obvious - wrist and thumb injuries. He has such a quick bat that he puts tremendous pressure on the wrists/hands/thumbs. It will be very interesting to see if he can stay healthy or if those will just be recurring injuries. And he can't really change his swing, as the ability to reach his potential offensively lies in the quick bat. Without injuries, I have no doubt we'll see Phillips-type numbers or better from Weeks.
  16. Last I saw, ESPN was projecting something like 497 for Braun, so it may actually be close.
  17. Harris Turer - there's a guy I'd love to have a few beers with. He's everything I aspired to be, but didn't because I'm lazy.
  18. That was one big head of hair on that Brewer fan! At first I thought it was some guy wearing a silly wig!
  19. Coffey is built like me! I think part of the 5.50 ERA may be a few extra donuts in the morning. Or maybe it's just that I'm watching in 16:9 and he's being stretched.
  20. Wow, a bit surprised they're making the change already. They have two outs. But then again, I guess we'd be screaming for Yost to get out there if our SP just gave up the fourth run to the other team's pitcher, huh?
  21. Just had to ask and Gallardo delivers! Ok, it would be really nice to get another one here....
