    While I agree that booing guys like Brady Clark and Doug Davis is wrong booing is part of the game and is done in almost every stadium. If you think the fans of Milwaukee are bad you should see how disgusting New York fans are.

    We have absolutely blown 5 or 6 games over a two week period and this was the worst one yet. Sad how the best win of the year is followed by the worst loss. Now we head back on the road and we all know what that usually means. This team should be at least 5 games in front yet we are up by one. Still plenty of time to go and I just hope that this team can stop giving games away.

    This team desperately needs the starters to pitch more than 5 or 6 innings. We cant constantly have the bullpen pitching 4 innings per night. Suppan was finally pitching well yet he had to be taken out in the sixth innings. The only guy who seems able to go more than 6 is Gallardo and he cant because of his innings limit. This is where the loss of Sheets hurts the most. He can go 7 or 8 innings while the rest of the rotation cant go more than 6. If this team is going to win the division the bullpen needs to be pitching less innings.

    I cant say I am anything but happy about this news. I dont specifically root for injuries but as long as the injury isnt career or life threatening I see no reason why we shouldnt be happy. Do any of you think the Cubs fans were anything but thrilled when Sheets got hurt? Therefore I say lets be happy and hope this helps the Brewers take the division.

    I hated the signing at the time and I hate it even more now. Suppan just isnt any good. All you heard was that he was a real innings eater yet the guy rarely gets past the 5th or 6th inning. He also leads the league in hits allowed and looks at times like he is throwing batting practice. As far as his signing being Melvins biggest mistake my reaction is that he isnt the one who made this move. Mark A was watching last years playoffs and he fell in love with Suppan off his playoff performances. He is the one that wined and dined Suppan and he is the one that is solely responsible for him being on the team. You really have to look at Melvins track record when it comes to pitchers and free agents in general. Melvin is constantly looking for values when it comes to pitching and he often targets young pitchers in trades. He traded for Bush, Villanueva, and Capuano and picked up Doug Davis and Turnbow off waivers. He has never given a mediocre pitcher a long term contract and that is why he traded Davis instead of giving him 21 mil over 3 yrs. If he wasnt willing to give Davis that kind of money I just dont think he would give a ridiculous amount of money to Suppan who isnt as good as DD. So therefore just based on track record and the way that the owner wined and dined Suppan the only conclusion you can come to is that Mark A wanted Suppan and Melvin probably tried to talk him out of it but Mark A had his mind made up. Yes Suppan was a huge mistake but the blame should solely go to the man responsible and that is Mark A.

    This team is done. I really cant see this slide ending. The team looks completely lost in every facet of the game. The offense never scores after the second or third inning and they never ever get clutch hits. As far as the pitching is concerned other than Gallardo, Parra, and dare i say it Shouse who is pitching even remotely competently? I see no sense of urgency and the team looks lethargic and without any confidence whatsoever. Then you have Estrada and Yost fighting in the dugout. I am sick and tired of hearing the same old stupid quotes from Yost. This team looks like they have packed it in and how can anyone be confident in any way that the season wont end with a complete an utter thud? I cant even imagine what Mark A is thinking right about now. He must be pissed off as can be.

    The problem I see with Girardi is how he handled the pitching staff in Florida. He overused his starters and several of them including Annibel Sanchez and Josh Johnson came down with arm problems. Therefore it may be better to stay away from him. Kremblas from what I have heard is really liked by his players and he has worked with our young guys before. I think he deserves a shot.

    Kremblas is my first choice followed by Girardi. The way this team is collapsing Im not sure that Yost lasts the season.

    I have pretty much lost all faith in the team at this point. I watch these games now and even when they have a big lead i expect something bad to happen. This is the most frustrating season in a long time because I feel like this team has the talent to win the division but is falling apart at the seams.

    I could see this team collapsing like that one did but that team had practically no talent. The Brewers are a very talented team and thats why the way they are playing now is so frustrating.

    Suppan deserves to be out of the rotation as much as Vargas if not more. Maybe we can trade him back to St Louis. Im sure he would wave his no trade clause to go back there.

    RyDogg, I guess its just my frustrations coming out. I doubt they will go 20-34 but I wouldnt be completely shocked if they did. They have just been so bad over the last month losing series at Pittsburgh, Cincinatti and Washington that I sometimes think this team just isnt any good. If this season continues at the same pace as the last month has been the season will be considered a failure in my eyes. Being in first place for three months and blowing it to the Cubs of all teams is very depressing. Hopefully the team shows something soon because if they dont I could really see the season cascading into a miserable joke.

    He will be back in a couple of weeks i hope. Unfortunately we will be buried by then and it wont matter anyway.

    I wish I could say yes but I think the season is completely finished. The team has played horribly for awhile now and I do not see things getting better. I think they will finish 78-84 which will be 10 games worse than the scrubs. I hope and pray that I am wrong but I think this season will be termed a huge failure once its over.

    The Brewers really cant afford to trade vargas at this time, not with Sheets on the DL and Suppan sucking it up.

    Gagne for Gwynn and Turnbow would have been an awesome trade but Im glad the Brewers arent getting Gagne if the price was Parra, Villanueva, or Weeks.

    This kind of sucks. If we could have gotten Gagne for little more than Gwynn and we didnt that is just awful. I really hope Boston is at least giving up something good.

    Im getting really nervous. I would love to see Gwynn traded for Gagne and I would have no problem throwing in Turnbow as well especially if we could get Laird. I have a fear that we are going to trade Parra, Villanueva, or Weeks and that makes me sick to my stomach.

    I just hope we arent stupid enough to throw Weeks in a deal for Gagne. That would be awful.

    Im more afraid of Weeks being part of a Gagne deal. If the Brewers cant get Gagne for Turnbow and Gwynn plus some mid level prospect like Escobar its not worth doing. We should be looking past this season. This team is young and will have several years to compete for championships.

    I fear that Weeks could be part of the trade. I really hope that doesnt happen.

    I would not under any circumstances give up Villanueva or Parra for Gagne. I think an offer of Turnbow and Gwynn might be enough to get it done. If not I would be willing to throw in a guy like Escobar or a Zack Jackson. I think we can get this done without including any of our top prospects. Turnbow and Gwynn for Gagne would be a fantastic trade. Lets get it done. If Texas insists on either Parra or Villanueva I say no way.

    Id be willing to give up Gwynn and Turnbow. Anything more than that and I will be pissed. As far as I am concerned Parra is too good to include in any trade for a rental player. We have already thinned the system enough with the Linebrink trade. i really like what Ive seen of Parra and would be really pissed if they traded him for two months of Gagne.
