  1. Its really as simple as this for me; the Brewers have by far the most talent in the division yet they are fighting tooth and nail to win the division. This team is clearly underachieving and that falls on the shoulders of Yost. The fact that this team still hasnt learned to win on the road is a function of the manager and his lousy game day decisions. This team is good enough in my opinion to win 90 games in the NL. Therefore lets stop wasting time with Yost and bring in Frank Kremblas to replace him. The young Brewers all seem to love Kremblas and from everything I read he knows how to strategically manage a game. Playoffs or not this season Yost has done more harm than good for this team and its time to send him packing.
  2. Just classic Yost logic. Lets use our worst pitchers with the game on the line and let the guy who has been solid for years pitch in the second inning of an 8-0 game. What exactly have guys like Aquino, Spurling, or McClung ever done in their careers to warrant any confidence whatsoever. Wise in the meantime has been a valued memeber of this bullpen for several years yet he is treated like garbage. makes no sense but then again not much Yost does makes any sense to me.
  3. As much as I disagree with the article the fact is that the Brewers will never gain national respect until they actually win something. Sad but true.
  4. I totally agree about the way Wise has been used. Aquino and Spurling can pitch in high leverage situations after being crap all year yet Wise doesnt get a chance to get his old job back. Its an insult to use Wise the way Yost has and this has to end. Another reason why Yost should be fired.
  5. This team will win less than the talent indicates they should and that why Yost should be fired. You fire a manager when he doesnt get the most out of his talent and Yost has clearly not done that. He has cost us 5 games at a minimum with his moves and you could argue much more than that. Hopefully we can win the division and still fire Yost when all is said and done.
  6. Its enough with the complaining from Yost about the fans. The fans would love Yost if he didnt consistently screw things up. For him to blame the fans shows that he is too thinskinned to be a major league manager. If he thinks its bad here he should try managing in philly or New York. He cant handle the pressure so he has to blame the fans for his shortcomings.
  7. Lately I have read numerous articles talking about how the fans have been too hard on Yost and the team. Melvin has said that he has never seen such criticism on a daily basis of a manager and Mark A has said that the Milwaukee fans are harder on the manager than New York fans. First of all New York fans are far harder on players and managers than Brewers fans will ever be. Secondly why should the fans not criticize Yost when he continues to make boneheaded moves each and every game that are costing us precious games. Attanassio should be thrilled that the fans actually care about this team especially considering that the team is usually hopelessly out of it this time of the year. The fans have been great this year, coming out in droves and have every right to boo the manager when he makes stupid moves. I am sick and tired of hearing yost make snide comments about the fans. The fans have every right to criticize him and the owner has to see the same things we are. Enough is enough already. The fans are not the reason why this team has choked the entire second half, that is the fault of the manager who has overseen second half collapses too many times before.
  8. Estrada is a huge problem and we shouldnt keep him past this season. His defense is just flat out awful and he couldnt throw himself out trying to steal. There has to be a better catcher out there because Estrada is flat out awful.
  9. I am sick and tired of losing games because the manager makes clueless move after clueless move. He will be the reason why we dont make the playoffs this season. I just wish they would fire him now and hire Kremblas.
  10. Invader, Sheets has had fluky injuries and will be just fine. The guy is an ace and this team is just not the same without him. If we can give Suppan 10 mil per year I dont see why we cant give Sheets 15 mil per season. Pay for stars not mediocrity.
  11. I would get rid of Jenkins and his 9 million option and replace him with Gross since he can put up better numbers than Jenkins. Gross is the OBP guy that this team needs and they can get a cheap platoon guy like Dillon to split time with Gross. The most important thing is to resign Sheets. It is an absolute must to bring him back to lead this staff for years to come. Every team needs a shutdown ace and Sheets has proven time and time again that he is that guy. If the team was willing to spend good money on the definition of mediocrity(Suppan) then it is an absolute must to spend whatever necessary to keep Sheets who is one of the best in the game. In order to win the team needs to spend on stars like Sheets and not give ridiculous contracts to average guys like Suppan or bring back a guy like Jenkins for 9 million when Gabe Gross is just as good if not better for 10% of the cost.
  12. Sheets is the ace that this team needs. Please Mark A resign him so he can lead this team for years to come.
  13. I have no problem with the concept of getting Linebrink but there was a reason that SD traded him and that was the fact that he was pitching horribly. I also hate the fact that we gave up 3 young arms to get him. I hope he doesnt return next season and we at least get two draft picks.
  14. Yost sucks, Linebrink sucks, this whole team sucks. This implosion is never gonna end this season. We will probably win about 75 games and finish in 4th or 5th place. This is complately unacceptable and Yost needs to go now. Enough is enough! If Phil Garner who has taken a team to the World Series can get fired before the end of the season then jolly old Ned should be fired too. The man is completely clueless and he cant stop the train wreck from getting worse each day.
  15. Girardi completely mishandled a young Marlins pitching staff. If I recall correctly he brought Josh Johnson back to pitch after a long rain delay and he let his pitchers throw way too many pitches per start. With guys like Gallardo, Parra, and Villanueva to look after I would think that Girardi is not the guy to manage the Brewers. With young stars like Braun and Fielder on the team I do think that this would be a very attractive job for many qualified candidates.
  16. I think this whole situation is a real test for Mark Attanassio. I know that he expected the team to have a real shot at winning the division this year and I dont think he expected the monumental collapse that has occured in the second half of the season. Yes we are still in the pennant race but that is due to the division being lousy. Attanassio must also know that another below 500 season after being in first place most of the season will be an unacceptable outcome to what was once a very promissing season. Ticket sales will be a problem next season if things stay stautus quo. Therefore I see no way Attanassio keeps Yost around much longer. In fact Im a little surprised he hasnt been fired yet. As for Melvin I think Mark A is smart enough to realize that he has done a good job but I could be wrong. I hope Attanssio doesnt blame Melvin for this mess and fire him when the collapse of the team is a product of Yost not Melvin.
  17. I applaud McClane for making a move. Mark Attanassio should do the right thing and fire Yost now.
  18. Maybe using the term gutless was the wrong thing to say but there is more than enough evidence to fire Yost now. This team is collapsing yet again in the second half of the season and that goes straight to Yost. The owner had very high expectations for this team and I cant imagine he is too thrilled at this point. Supposedly he was very angry around the time of the Verlander no hitter and things are far more dire right now then they were at that point in time. Two months of absolutely dreadful baseball against mostly second division teams should be enough to get Yost fired. If we werent in the midst of a pennant race thanks to our worthless division I wouldnt care if Yost stayed for the rest of the season. At this point we are still a contender and I think a change should be made now. I think there is a decent chance that Mark A and Melvin see this ship sinking and make a change now since things really cant get any worse than they are now. This is not the usual talentless Milwaukee Brewers we are talking about here. This team has way more than enough talent to win this lousy division and we need a new leader to get us there. The owner must be at wits end at this point and that is why I think Yost may not make it to chicago.
  19. I never like to see a guy get hurt but I will be very happy if I never see Vargas pitch in a Brewers uniform again. The guy is just an awful pitcher and that will never change.
  20. I cant even imagine how infuriated Mark Attanssio is right about now. I remember when the team was falling apart right around the time of the Verlander no hitter it was reported in several places that Attanssio was very angry with how we were playing. I would have to think that his feelings must be intensified 10 fold at this point and I wonder how much longer he will allow Yost to keep his job. Is there any chance that Attanssio is angry enough right about now to fire Yost or is he too gutless to make the move. I also wonder if Melvin's job is on the line considering the ridiculous collapse that this team is having. I personally want Melvin back next season and hopefully for years to come but I could definitely see the owner starting anew. (added tag --1992)
  21. Ive always liked Anaheim and anyone playing the yankees and cubs is always a favorite of mine.
  22. Just when you think things cant get any worse they do. This team just continuously finds new and more ridiculous ways to lose. Only the Brewers can give up the winning run on a bloop single to right field scoring the runner from first. This is the worst fundamental team I have ever seen in my life and that goes on the coaching staff most notably clueless Ned. he should be thrown into McCovey cove and not allowed on the plane to chicago. Enough is enough. The ineptitude reaches new and more horrifying levels by the day. On one hand Im apathetic because I expect to lose every game, on the other hand I am so angry I just want to scream. This team has been absolute torture to watch.
  23. Put Corey Hart in the lineup each and every day. I dont care why Ned Yost hates him but enough is enough. Hart has done more than enough to show that he is more than a platoon player. Enough is enough.
  24. I believe that we are an awful team. I believe that this team is way underachieving due to the talent that we do have. I believe that Yost has had long enough and must go. I believe that we should trade Suppan back to St Louis and Vargas for anything. I believe that this is the most disappointing season ever for Brewers fans.
  25. How much longer can this collapse continue? This inept excuse for baseball has gotten beyond ridiculous. Fire Yost now so we can make some sort of attempt to salvage what was once a promising season.
