  1. Chokum was released. I wonder how him and Sprewell will survive now?
  2. The Brewers need a number 2 guy for the playoffs. Maddux would help us get there but he is not the kind of guy you want pitching nowadays in the postseason over what we have.
  3. I never like the thought of drafting pitchers that need their mechanics changed. There were pitchers that the Brewers should've considered ahead of Rogers based on this alone.
  4. Brad Lidge was never suspended by Wade for all the choking he did.
  5. cwolf, Who are those "6" you are claiming? Braun walked a few times this weekend and made some defensive plays but it's still not good enough? I am guessing that even with Braun's first 162 game stats, which were higher than nearly every all-time great, there are those that still have to nitpick on this guy who signed a deal that was cheap compared to what other players are compensated. Sheesh...
  6. Can we also find out what his Wonderlic and IQ is too?
  7. I also do not understand bringing Hall in at that point as the pinch hitter with the way he's been hitting overall. Just stunk. Yost has always been a goofball with manuevers like this. Go with the guys that are going to get you some where.
  8. Hopefully some other team and soon. Why not use someone else who is hitting a little better than Hall at that point?
  9. Is it me or does it seem like 95 % of the Cubs "talent" that comes up pretty much bombs at the major league level or get hurt? The one position player that end up doing anything so far after leaving the Cubs was HGH boy Sarge Jr. The Cubs fleeced the Pirates for Ramirez and they stole Lee from Florida for Choi, who was going to be a complete flop. If you look at that complete roster right now, besides the Bigheado there isn't much farm developed players on the team. Sure you can look at Theriot but the guy was not much of a player in their system and is exceeding what he did in the minors. I try to tell Cubs fans that this team can never develop anyone and they need to "sign" everybody elses talent.
  10. What does Nelson have to do to get a chance instead of the wait til LaPorta takes over at first talk ends?
  11. But but but....Sexson walks a lot.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. Well, we could start with the ones that invade Miller Park at the gate.
  13. Yes, he did take him out but again, Mota was living on the edge with his GAS Price Whip.
  14. Not to change the tune, but my favorite one that makes me think of Shambrano is Uecker's quote from Major League, "this guy even he threw at his kid during the Yankees father-son game."
  15. I caught that from Tim. I mean how can a guy have a job when they wouldn't make this trade if the Brewers were 20 games below .500 in a fantasy world. Yet, what would you expect from a company that has had guys like Micoke Irvin employed on it.
  16. Yankees already picked this joker up.
  17. Branyan seems like a great guy and someone good for the clubhouse too. His defense has gotten a lot better since his days with Cincy. He's a guy you can't help it to root for and watching the 9th inning on Saturday was awesome against Nathan.
  18. What's next, the batting practice screen in front of the pitcher? Hank the Wank is worse than his ol' man. Too bad Billy Martin wasn't around so Hank could fire and re-hire him half a dozen times.
  19. Pass over my post. I am looking for logical posters that can explain to me why OBP should matter in an All Star game?
  20. What's his deciding factor of OBP at?
  21. Wait a minute there, it's people like you that are using OBP as "the deciding factor". If you look at all the stats objectively Braun is 2nd in homers, 5 in RBI's, tied for second in tripes, 3rd in in total bases, has an OPS of .908 which IS OUTSTANDING. Put down the Evian and labtop. BTW mods, I thought personal attacks were not allowed?
