  1. Not really the same thing. When a guy scores a TD the play is over. What Braun did tonight has Leon Lett potential. If Braun stopped at 2B to admire his HR that would be more like a player celebrating after a TD. I have no problem with a guy skipping around the bases, jumping around and clapping his hands after it is called a HR. So what if there was a penalty on the play?
  2. How about those Nate McClouth apples?
  3. Too bad Manny is the worst fielding LF in all of baseball. His play the other night may have been the ugliest play during the year.
  4. When Braun is the one who called out the team after the Boston series, I have no problem because he believes they can win.
  5. Not at $4.00 per gallon. Anyhow, this guy is good and big... He is a machine.
  6. Like Roberto Alomar never posed after his shot against Eckersley...
  7. What else can you say? Cy Young...?
  8. Rapuano should be rapped on the head for not appealing. Horrible call and then him trying to show up Fielder was disgusting. These guys need someone to be made an example of.
  9. Amen Tues. We may need a starter for next year but now's the time to start selling homes, cars, bonds, etc...and Mark A to back up the truck for CC and I don't be Deville.
  10. What about Gillespie, Cain, and Brantley in the OF?
  11. I am tired of Rickie Weeks being a tease. He is talented but the guy may be the dumbest player in the league. Two inexcusable boneheaded plays so far to cost us a couple runs at the least.
  12. Just pointing out that Green's potential alone in two years could make him a Top 3 prospect in our system if he's not part of the Cleveland deal.
  13. I'll take my chances with Milwaukee's schedule and how they are playing right now. Go Zona!
  14. Taylor Green would be a poor comparison since one player is at A and the other is at AAA. One plays in the worst Park in the minors and the other doesn't. One is 21 and the other isn't. I wouldn't trade Green for this kid on any day of the week and especially twice on Sundays. Steal for Zona considering the compensation he brings in the future.
  15. I hope he has a real Strike zone for Fat Albert and not the Derek Lee one.
  16. Counsell single handedly blew a game last year when he was brought in as Ned's D replacement. (edit: nested quote --1992)
  17. Well, Rickie had a good game at the plate last night but tried to lose it with his horendous D. Throw range factor out the window with brutal fielding like that.
  18. Seth had a very decent outing last night. Cameron should've caught the ball that Glaus hit but didn't. Good game Seth. Hopefully, Suppan pitches a good one tonight.
  19. Well, the Cubs are 1-1 in his starts so far and a lucky 1-1 pulling out Saturday's choke job. Who's even betting the Cub get in at this point considering they are starting to slip? Lou may have to work Harden just to make the playoffs now and some of their players who were playing over their heads offensively are starting to fall to earth.
  20. For those Inman bashers, Frederickson can't find the strike zone at this point and is Kelly Wunsch junior to this point. Give me Garrison and Inman over Cutter and K Jr.
