  1. What just kills me is we fired Phil Garner who actually had a great season. Ned has done less with more but he still coaches...or attempts to with this team. The only way he goes is if Mark realizes and rewatches the job Melvin did at Texas with larger purse strings and looks at his AL Championship and World Series trophy case.
  2. Trade Fielder now? You guys are a riot! Which LH bat takes his place? Branyan...tooooo funny!
  3. If we end up trading guys again and are out of it, Melvin and Yost needed to be unloaded. I have heard continually the past 4 years how we would win since 2004... What a joke.
  4. Considering the D backs were outscored byb opponents I would hardly call them the best.
  5. 1. He's a businessman bottom line, he's got a product to sell. 2. He's done what I believe has been quite a good job so far, and I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. 3. A mass email to the fans is not really the forum to call out or defend the manager or individual players--I'd think it pretty classless if he did that. I am beginning to wonder what type of businessman he is. Why would you stick with a manager that has had at best an average coach since he's been in Milwaukee for 5 years? He hasn't shown much in abilities to manage games, a bullpen, nor make smart decisions such as leaving Mench in to face Dempster or pitching Stetter instead of Shouse when he returned against Cincy. Mark A made his money somehow and I am beginning to think it was on dumb luck more than intelligence.
  6. Why do people think Doug Melvin is all that anyhow? He never hired Jack Z. Nothing of value to really show for his big trades besides Cordero who can't save his butt on the road. The guy is average at best. All he has is more money to work with than Bando had.
  7. Exactly why Melvin should've been canned. This is how he was in Texas too. He is terrible at assembling pitching and has no clue.
  8. You're right, 3 out of 4 is terrible. Ned will be here next year too, so I guess see ya later. Yeah, and leading the league in bonehead decisions by trying to use unconventional stats is? That would be like Lou Pinella say " We decided to pitch around the guy because we found out he's 13 - 78 after day games vs lefties when he's shaved even though in his career he's 13 for 20 against the guy. BTW, did Ned Lost tell anyone why he sat Hall who was a career .361 hitter against Oswalt?
  9. Again, why screw with a good thing. Hitting Braun 4th was foolish but Ned's inability to coach showed that. Just like when he moved Hardy back to 2nd.
  10. I am so sick right now. Below 500 with a team 40 percent more talented than the Cubs. I called for Yost's head last year and was ridiculed here. Yost is lost and clueless as a manager and his postgame comments for not hitting Jenkins over Mench were pathetic stating Mench was 0-1 while Jenkins was 4-17. But most of you think as Brewer fans think getting to .500 is good enough because of our futility. Sorry, but that is the weakest excuse to keep a coach I've ever seen and heard. Last I checked .235 is better than .000 not too mention, Mench should've been hit for in the 8th. Melvin has done little to nothing as a GM to show he's good enough to win. He got canned in Texas and we took him in when he pissed away a ton of talent there. Now, he traded Lee for a reliever that has imploded along with a OF that is at best average in everything he does. Then he trades for a reliever that was washing up on the beaches giving away 3 younger arms. Unreal. If Yost and Melvin are still around after the season ends, I will not support this team. I will root for every team except the Cubs when we are played against or I just won't watch. How can you support someone that doesn't see the big picture. These two are nice guys but losers. They are the equivalent of Mike Sherman as I said last year and some of you made comments that were insulting. Yet, he were are Aug. 31, and behind by 2 1/2 games with guys we have??? Un-flipping-real. I am sorry but when a team loses this many close games, IT IS MANAGEMENT'S FAULT not the players. And if it's the players, how many guys are you going to get rid of??? All of them? This team does not even do the fundamentals well, and that is SQUARELY ON THE STAFF! If a guy doesn't do what he should, he should be benched or doing what he's supposed to. In the two losses this series, we lost to a guy that should've been out of coaching when he couldn't win with the team he had in Seattle. Sad...sad...sad... I keep hearing how Anastasio is this business man. Did he inherit this money because smart businessmen don't let their business sink like this. Instead, Giligan and the Skipper have sunk the SS Minnow. It's not too late to make a coaching change and at least light a fire to show the players there is going to be accountability instead of excuses.
  11. Until Melvin is fired I have no hope of any decent trades happening. He does not have much to shiw after dealing Sexson away.
  12. Steve Stoned is a doofus. The Cubs are 40 % less talented. I would not take one player besides Kendall on the field over what the Brewers have.
  13. I freakin' hate the Cubs. Their highlights were on before the Brewers again last night and I am so SICK of John Smuck hyping them. He thinks Shambrano is the best pitcher in the NL and that Lou Pinella is a difference maker. He proved that in Tampa.... I pray that the Brewers go in the Dumpley Park in their last series in August and pound the team that can't develop its' own players.
  14. This offer is lost a little. He was going to Arkansas but opted to play for the Brewers not just offers like it says. He was in our paper in LaCrosse every week.
  15. What's their one hit record besides Helena winning yesterday?
  16. So not addressing the worst bullpen in baseball with Wise, Turnbow, Spurling, and Shouse doesn't cut it? Please. Anyone defending Yost for leading off Counsell and Crappy are dillunsional and need treatment. The Royals don't even stick crap like that one and two.
  17. We had Ben S here in LaCrosse.
  18. Matt Wise stinks. Look at the inherited runners scoring at will. And Shouse? He can't ven get lefties. Melvin blew it in the offseason thinking he could get by adding Aquino and Dessens.
  19. Ah yes, the we face lefties so Mench needs to play. The guy isn't even hitting lefties for crap so why is he on the roster? I am still mind boggled as to why Melvin wanted this guy and plan on calling WKTY today on the local show to tell them to ask Melvin why he is still on the roster next time he's on.
  20. Off of in Spring training?
  21. Inman is lower because of his size? I bet the Astros feel that way about Roy Oswalt.
  22. Again, you guys keep using "if". He's had almost 1 good full season and a ton of lousy ones. Not a good concept to hope for.
  23. If...if...if... You could say that for most players in the league. If he also pitches like he did, he sends us out of contention when Yost sticks him out there.
  24. 95% of people on here dislike Jenkins but 90% of the people overvalue him. So how can you turn and send marginal to average players to get players you value yourself? I mean why would a team over trade for someone you don't value highly for someone you do?
  25. How about Frank Cattalanatto?
