  1. The 158 game winning streak is starting boys, I can feel it!
  2. Serious question, why is there an extension offer just supposedly waiting for Melvin to sign it? Have I missed a bunch of genius moves by him or something? This team was horrific the last third of last year and looks worse now. I just don't know what Attanasio sees in RR and DM.
  3. This injury is just phase 1 of his plan to have a built in excuse when he finishes the year at .270 with 19 HRs and 72 RBIs, vanishing again in the second half. "Well, I was never quite able to get it going after the nagging intercostal injury early in the year..."
  4. RR never seems to be concerned about much of anything, to be honest.
  5. With the hurlers we are running out there, I don't think they need to steal any signs.
  6. Right now Melvin is frantically searching his desk, holding a pen and asking himself where he put that extension offer from Attanasio.
  7. Why do I feel like I am watching a rerun of any of our last 30 or so games from last year? Sheesh.
  8. Record: 77-85 Playoffs: No MVP: Lucroy Surprise: Braun bounces back to hit .300 with 30 homers. Disappointment: Nelson isn't nearly as good as we had hoped, Lind spends a lot of time on the DL. All Star: Lucroy, Peralta Bold Prediction: Peralta gets at least 1 Cy Young vote, Ramirez misses 50+ games due to injury.
  9. No, baseball season doesn't suck for me at all. I love the game, and I love the Brewers and will be a fan and hope for them to win until the day I die. That being said, I can also objectively look at the talent around the division/league and determine that the odds for the Crew to make the playoffs this year is fairly small. Doesn't mean I'm not a fan, it just means I'm being realistic. I hope this trade happens, and I hope we don't HAVE to trade the guy at the deadline, but if we do I'll be happy we get something back for the future that hopefully makes the team that much better.
  10. does everyone forget that the brewers were picked 4th by everyone and was in 1st place through most of the season last year? The cubs and cards may be improved, and I wouldn't predict them to make the playoffs, but I am not going into the season already giving up. Now I feel bad that I didn't watch any of the Brewers' playoff games last season. Oh, wait... I apologize for apparently crushing the hopes and dreams of the forum, I should have phrased it as "In the event that the Brewers aren't in playoff contention next season,..."
  11. The Brewers aren't making the playoffs, they don't need a high caliber closer on their team. Maybe Melvin is buying cheap on Papelbon because the Phillies are desperate to unload him, and plans to trade him at the deadline this upcoming season to a contending team which has a need in the bullpen. Everyone knows that teams overpay at the deadline, maybe he thinks he can sell him then for a better return than what he's giving up.
  12. What did he do, low ball a contract offer to K-Rod?
  13. Wow, this season isn't even completely over and already the Brewers have found a way to damper my enthusiasm for next season. /sigh
  14. I am terribly saddened to see the Cardinals doing so poorly in Game 1, especially with that fine, outstanding citizen Yadier Molina on their roster.
  15. Good to see some fire from Attanasio, but for the life of me I don't understand why Melvin is safe. Ugh.
  16. I feel bad for Uecker, he's down to his last years calling games I think, it'd be nice to give him one last postseason ride after all he has meant to the franchise. I just wonder now if we'll even finish over .500 this year, it's gonna be close.
  17. When was the last public comment Attanasio had about the way the team has played? Anything somewhat recently?
  18. And Tampa still has a better chance to win their game tonight than the Brewers do.
  19. This will save lives as Brewer fans will be unable to shoot themselves after seeing yet another ugly home loss.
  20. Roenicke's "big hit" should be a small pink slip.
  21. I know they are terrible, but you're being a bit hard on Hawk and Jones.
  22. This team is truly the suckiest suck to have ever sucked a suck.
