  1. Did you subtract the shipping and handling fee?
  2. Yes. I was trying to figure out if that is Mark A a couple seats down staring at his phone.
  3. Hi, I'm going to the game and would be willing to trade but I live in Saint Paul and I don't think I will be at any other games before the play-offs (knock on wood) and I guess that's not even a sure thing for me so I might not be the best trading partner because we would have to use mail and it would probably be a bit spendy to mail to the umbrella (or is it compact?). So if you don't have any offers I would probably be wiling to give you an umbrella and something like $15 for this year's Gomez. I guess I will also need the Segura and the Yount when they eventually get handed out. If you don't find a trade partner send me a note and maybe we can figure something out. I'm the guy that traded you the Charlie Sheen bobble a few years back.
  4. Did you have any idea they were filming? My wife was saying it must have been odd for the last 9 years for the people sitting near Ethan Hawke telling people they might be in a movie that just never came out.
  5. I"m not sure if this is the correct forum but I just returned from the movie "Boyhood" (which was great btw) and it featured some Brewers footage from what I believe to be August 18 and 19th of 2005. Ethan Hawke is bringing the kids to an Astros game in Houston and he tells the kids that they are playing the Milwaukee Brewers and they need to get to know them and then get to hate them. At the game he is excited because Clemens is pitching and explaining how great he was and they show him striking out Damien Miller. Then later they show Jason Lane hit a home run that they say they wins the game. In real life it was two games which was pretty obvious to me and probably to anyone paying attention because Miller was wearing the blue alternate jersey and then on Lane's home run they show a longer shot where the Brewers are wearing their road grays. On the August 18th game the Brewers actually beat the Rocket (His ERA was 1.32 entering the game and his record was only 10-5) and the 19th the Brewers lost but Lane's homer off Dana Eveland didn't quite win but proved to be the difference.
  6. I still can't believe that the second strike to Davis was a called strike and not on the check swing. If I was Ron I would still be on the field complaining It was pretty much on the dirt. Completely changed the entire inning.
  7. The Brewers website says "All Fan" so I don't think that 30,000 can be correct.
  8. I put $50 on the Brewers at 75/1 to win the World Series when we were in Vegas at the beginning of March.
  9. That was very interesting. I always root for the guys who have had a taste and and keep bouncing around looking for an opportunity. I'm currently pulling for Tim Dillard (who is a great Twitter follow).
  10. We watched a couple of practices at spring training and he indeed was like that all the time. My wife and I both thought he would be great when things were going well but it might be a bit much during bad times.
  11. Comcast purposely slowed down the feed for Netflix until Netflix paid up IMO setting a bad precedent and it wouldn't surprise me if they are messing with the MLB feed. It's that whole net neutrality issue that another poster mentioned. I've had more problems in the first 3 games then I had all of last year.
  12. I have been a 20 game holder since 2008 basically to have access to any post game tickets etc. but I don't live in Milwaukee so I always sell all the tickets on Stubhub. When I make it into Milwaukee for games I always buy other tickets either on the secondary market or in the early season ticket holders sale. I have always broken even (last year was close as by the end of the season I was basically giving them away so I am a little worried about this year). I buy the cheapest 20 game fans choice package and pick opening day and summer weekend games and any games that I think may be in demand. It might be too late for the bobble but it's something to think about.
  13. My fantasy baseball league still laughs at me for proclaiming every year after drafting him that this was the year of Rickie Weeks
  14. To me yes, because I was thinking HOF as he was ascending through the minors. Fair or not the expectations were much much higher than what we got. Superstar among superstars and even when he's been "good" it always takes some convincing and finding certain stats where he excelled and his defense has always been horrendous. The only thing that makes me happy is that I originally wanted Delmon Young in that draft and he has been just as big of a disaster.
  15. The audio overlay became available for the Roku 2 and above(I believe but make sure you check) last year at some point. Love it but do make sure you are out of the blackout area and you will need premium for overlay.
  16. I'm a bald man and watching the play-offs I was literally trying to pull out my hair watching Prince blow a series with his defense. He does not belong on a baseball field with a glove.
  17. Does anyone even consider Cano they type of player that you would buy a ticket to see him play? I've gone to Nationals games to see Strasburg and I've gone to a Dodgers game to see Kershaw pitch and I even went to Pensacola to see Puig play when the lookouts were in town but I've never even considered going to a Yankees game just to see Cano. I've been to several Yankees games over the years when they were playing the Twins or Brewers or to see old or new Yankee Stadium nd I've never told my wife to watch him specifically as I do for other superstar players. Honestly he's a good addition from a playing standpoint but I can't imagine he is selling any tickets.
  18. According to our season ticket package there are 8 all fan bobblehead games and then a Segura All Star one given to Season ticket holders. The dates are: April 27, May 11, June 15, June 29, July 27, August 10, August 24, and September 14. There are 6 all fan T-shirt dates are listed as June 13, June 27, July 11, July 25, August 8, and August 22. Eight plus six is how we arrive at 14 I guess. But yes I feel that they have been doing too many lately. They really aren't as special anymore.
  19. I think it's time for a Teddy Higuera bobblehead.
  20. Albert Pujols meet Lance Armstrong because suing makes it 10x worse when the truth comes out.
  21. Mark Attanasio sat a few rows in front of me Thursday at Citi Field and I chatted with him for a couple of minutes (and got a nice picture) and he without prodding brought up how much he liked Khris Davis 3 times and later I told my wife that it was clear if Mark has any say (and I imagine he does) that they are going to find a spot for him which would likely mean moving Braun to first or right.
  22. Mark Attanasio sat a few rows in front of me at Citi Field on Thursday and I talked to him for a few minutes (and got a sweet picture) and he brought up how much he liked Khris Davis two or three separate times without any prodding. When ever young players came up he mentioned Khris Davis and didn't mention any other names. I would say that it is likely that they will find a spot for him if Mark has any say. I also thought it was funny when I told him that I thought the team played hard and well after May that he told me that I sounded like Doug Melvin ) I got the idea that he really doesn't like losing and therefore it is unlikely we will ever see a complete rebuild (which I'm fine with but bothers other people).
  23. If you go to Baltimore for the love of God don't leave the ballpark area or the inner harbor. Seriously some of the worst neighborhoods I've ever seen and I've been to Detroit.
  24. I specifically drove to Pensacola to see Puig who was playing for the Chatanooga Lookouts and the day I picked he was a healthy scratch. He coached first base. What a let down. He was called up about a week later. Here is a picture I took I uploaded to my FB page. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10152895879495722&l=1793f05e12 The stadium on the waterfront is awesome and I was just so disappointed because when the project was first announced it was that it was going to be Huntsville moving to Pensacola and my vacation house is only about 75 minutes away.
