  1. I remember being impressed by the Opryland Resort hotel. We were going to stop in Nashville on the way to Florida this year and were going to stop again at the hotl but decided to go a little out of our way to Memphis instead. If the hotel is out of your price range it's worth just stopping in for half a day. They charge quite a bit to park but I seem to recall parking at a mall and walking over. I don't remember the details but it must have been on the up and up because I wouldn't have risked being towed in a rental car.
  2. i was standing next to the guy with the gun yesterday at the sim game (The Brewers had like 10 guys with laptops hooked up to cameras and the gun) and he was saying the speeds out loud and he hit 93 once and 92 once. That said, and i'm no scout, but Chase was pitching for the other "team" in the sim game and his stuff looked much more explosive and alive.
  3. I don't like people calling people tools from their actions when they were a teenager or in their very early 20's. Perhaps he is but I would think that life may have humbled him.
  4. I feel like Milwaukee's downtown is the easiest downtown I've ever dealt with as far as parking and even free parking.
  5. Minnesota has always done two days.
  6. Except his is a malcontent jerk and has ruined every situation he has ever been in.
  7. My wife for some reason follows one of his kids on instagram and she says after college he wrote he was going to take a year off but it has now been 3 or 4 years of him just traveling the world and partying.
  8. I have sat next to him at a couple of Spring Training games and he seemed very nice.
  9. I'm going to bed for a nap and then a night job but if anyone wants them leave me your email address and I will get them to you in the morning. First to ask obviously.
  10. I have a few hours of housework to do but I will check back later so just leave a reply or hit my inbox and I will give them to whoever asked first.
  11. I received 4 free tickets from the Brewers and I will not be able to go to the game. They are in section 224 row 19 which appears to be behind third base. I will need to forward them to an email address that I believe needs to be associated with an mlb.com account. I would like whoever takes these tickets to actually use them instead of trying to sell them. Note....I"m not even sure these tickets can be sold as they were free to me and the sell on Stubhub feature seems to be disabled. Tickets are gone.
  12. A few years ago we caught the Brewers in Oakland, SF, and LA and the Brewers were 0-6 in the games we attended which was basically in a week. It was brutal. On top of that we caught the Twins who are my wives favorite team lose in Anaheim on the same trip
  13. I should also add that the second time I went they clearly allowed more people and I thought they were getting to the max of how many people they allowed. There was more space in the outfield the first time I went for playing which was nice but the second time I went there were more games (like carnival games etc.) and it was probably ran better.
  14. I've done it with my wife twice and it's super fun. It's fun playing catch on the field and in the bullpen and there is enough going on at all times that you are never bored. The food is good and they give away a bunch of other free stuff and there are opportunities to win bobble heads etc. I have also had good luck buying tickets for the charity raffle. I won a signed Gomez bat one year and a signed Hank Aaron hat the other year. The only bummer is they wake you way too early in the morning
  15. I think Ueck was getting a glass of water or something and wasn't ready and that is why there is the delay.
  16. This is take from yesterday's article in the JS. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/mlb/brewers/2018/03/12/stephen-vogts-comeback-attempt-suffers-setback/412158002/ "Vogt signed a one-year, non-guaranteed contract with the Brewers on Dec. 1 for $3.065 million. He could be released before opening day with the Brewers responsible for paying one-quarter of his salary, but only if the decision was performance-based, an issue that likely would need to be determined by Major League Baseball." To me this means the injury means he will be paid.
  17. I read something yesterday that the Brewers can only cut him and get back the money if he's cut due to lack of productivity and a MLB official would have to make the ruling. The fact he is hurt makes me think we are paying him $3M no matter what.
  18. I don't know what sling blu is but here in MN we have a sling that offered ESPN and a different version that offered the FSN channels to watch the Twins/Wild/T Wolves and we had to choose between the two.
  19. I'm a 20 game holder and I got mine over 2 weeks ago. I would say call your rep but the frame really doesn't fit on a license plate without hiding the stickers. I'm not even sure I'm comfortable blocking my front stickers.
  20. I don't know if I would be comfortable driving around with the year sticker covered up because at least around here they love to write expired tab tickets and drive through parking lots checking. I had a designer license plate frame on my car that I took off to attempt to put that one on and the opening was big enough not to hide the stickers so to me it would be a design flaw if this one covers up the stickers.
  21. I think he finished 9th in the Cy Young award and he missed the end of the season.
  22. I wasn't exactly sure of what forum this belonged in but this arrived in the mail last week as a holiday gift for season ticket holders but has anyone tried to put this on their car? I live in Minnesota and when I went to put in on my car it covered more than half of the month and year stickers to the point they can't be read which means it can't be used but when I look at the Wisconsin license plates they seem to be of the same setup so I was wondering if it actually works on the Wisconsin plates or if this was a severe design flaw?
  23. If I were you I would go this year if at all possible. The amount of access, especially on the Minor League field, you have at the current moment is amazing and will probably diminish which has been the case at all the new stadiums. Plus moments like a couple of years ago when I walked to my car alongside Doug Melvin and Craig Counsell will probably disappear.
  24. I would argue that perhaps they aren't all-pro level receivers Not many receivers have left Favre/Rodgers through the years and made any impact at all.
  25. My wife couldn't find anything that appealed to her. Everything I tried was expensive and small so I just stuck to eating in the parking lot.
