Garza and Loshe maybe the MVP of this team. They were both so horrible they finally made the front office confront what this team is. The Gomez trade doesn't happen unless we were crap.
ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick reports that there’s some industry buzz that Dipoto is on the Brewers’ radar as they look for a new GM. Milwaukee is said to be looking for a younger, more analytical general manager following Doug Melvin’s announcement that he’ll transition to an advisory role. Crasnick also notes that there’s some speculation that Cherington would be a good fit for Milwaukee’s GM vacancy.
In don't think that's the role of the GM. That's more the minor league farm director . I think they have been pushing guys lately that have proved they can handle it. They left kodi in A ball when he was suppose to go to rookie ball when the season started. They moved Victor up once he proved he could hit at high A
and then you have another wave as early as 18/19 in codi, gatewood , harrison , lara, allemand, clark , demiand diplan. Sure not all of them will pan out but even if half do thats a ton of cheap players for 4-5 years
I have a feeling that we aren't going to make any more deals now. We will end up being stuck with Parra for the season because Doug can't get a fair trade for him and He moves luc and carlos in the off season
All I'm saying is the radio guys who had talked to younger GMs said Doug and Walt take at least a day to return a text and that 90% of trades start with a text now a days
But he may miss deals also. The new gm's text and ask if so and so is available. They maybe looking at different players. If it takes a doug a day or more to call the guy back, this is a problem.
