    Totally different personal circumstances around those contracts. Tatis grew up in a big league household with tons of money. He could gamble and wait for a massive deal. Acuna didn't come from that background and if he got hurt or took a FB to the head and couldn't play again, he's not going to get that payday. It's all about risk of the next contract and Tatis has less risk because of his situation.

    Jake Lamb is the guy that I'm looking at for 3B. Got off to a horrible start but ended well with OAK and is only 30.

    How Long does Cain stay on the restricted list? Does he have to be by the rule 5 draft or is it next year before spring training?

    There's more money in the EPL than there is in baseball. Despite 10 less teams and less than 400 matches the EPL made 6 billion in revenue. baseball was at 9 billion and doesn't have anywhere near the global reach.

    Outside of Yeli ,Garcia and Cain who are we one the hook for thats high dollar? His highs are all star highs, if you can keep him healthy his bat is huge in the line up and we need hitting anywhere we can get it

    Gary Sanchez is “the biggest decision of the Yankees’ offseason,” George A. King III of the New York Post writes. Sanchez’s disastrous 2020 season has seemingly cost him the starting catcher job, and it remains to be seen if the Bronx Bombers still consider him as a part of their future. It doesn’t seem likely that the Yankees would simply non-tender Sanchez (owed a raise on his $5MM salary heading into his second arbitration year), yet a trade might not be out of the question. The Yankees would obviously be trying to shop Sanchez when his trade value is at its lowest, King notes, “yet, there is no guarantee the Yankees will ever be in position to sell high on Sanchez.” There is also the matter of finding a replacement at catcher — the Yankees are already looking at a second consecutive year with a big luxury tax bill, so splurging on J.T. Realmuto might not be feasible. Yes he had an awful 2020 but who hasn't? He's 27 and should be entering the prime of his career and we could use him at C/1B/DH if it sticks around. He could be a steal if he bounces back to his 2016-2019 production.

With defensive options in the infield -- Luis Urias, Brock Holt, Eric Sogard -- do the Brewers just plant Keston Hiura at DH?

    It’s been more than a decade since Sarfate last pitched in the big leagues, but the righty hasn’t felt any inclination to return. He’s one of the all-time great relievers in NPB, having pitched to an immaculate 1.57 ERA with 234 saves, 11.9 K/9 and 2.6 BB/9 since arriving in 2011. Not bad for a former ninth-rounder with a 4.53 ERA in 119 MLB innings!

    Tony Cingrani is out there. Doesn't have a ton of miles on his arm, is only 30 could be a multi inning guy and give you 3-4 innings at a time while he builds his arm back up

    Could see him being used as a multi inning guy. He seem to run into problems after the 4th inning.

    MLBtraderumors has a story up that the Reds may now trade him since they signed Castellanos. He came up a 3B but got moved around. He's only 24 and I think he could be a fantastic talent going forward.

    If his Coors numbers were his away numbers then he'd be worth that.

    If the Rockies go into full rebuild mode and trade Arenado then you have to think Story would also be available. His home road split are pretty big but he'd be light years better than anyone we'd run out there at either SS or 3B. Would Burnes + be enough to get the party started?
