  1. can Shawn Zarraga play 1st? He's crushing it at AA
  2. 3 chances to get that 17th win
  3. neither is having tj. one has a stress fracture and the other sounds like more shoulder surgery
  4. I don't get espn playoff % calc. They have the A's at 99% they have a 6.5 game lead in their division. We have a 5.5 game lead and are only 73% and San Fran is at 82% and only has a 4 game lead
  5. So today excuse will be he settled down after the first 2 innings. even though he gave up 6 runs
  6. Actually we have the talent to get Price, it's just that the FO won't make that deal. San Diego has a few guys we might be able to buy low on other wise we might as well stay pat.
  7. We'll when you don't have much to play for, you have to win at something
  8. Is there anyone left in the Mets dugout/bullpen. Looks like everyone has been in the game
  9. last 30 days for Marco 35 innings 5.4 era and a 1.4 whip not so good
  10. No making the playoffs this year will cost the Brewers more than the 10-15 mil of super 2 status
  11. Fiers is up, you wouldn't have to make a roster move. Give him 3 or 4 starts to see what he can do
  12. Now would be a good time I think
  13. I think Samardjzia is hugely overrated
  14. If Cliff Lee or some other frontline start is available then maybe
  15. Plus Jungmann and Bradley seem to be figuring it out. Only major issue is the lack of a 3b/1b prospect.
  16. Problem is there are only 4 teams out of it at the moment. Cubs,Zona and Hou aren't going to trade their 1b. Which leaves TB at the moment. We need a few other teams to fade in the next couple of weeks
  17. Bud Norris @BudNorris25 · 15h Sorry but this Singleton deal is terrible. Wish the Jon listened to the union and not his agent. Mark Mulder @markmulder20 · 1h Just saw contract this #astros prospect signed. Either he doesn't believe in himself to be great or he has a terrible agent who wants the 4% Some players don't seem to like it
  18. Maybe Rowdy Tellez from the Blue Jays? They only have 3 guys who've made double digit starts
  19. Jon Singleton details: $1.5M this year, $2M/year from 2015-18, $2.5M ($500K buyout) in 2019, $5M and $13M ($250K buyout each) in 2020, '21. Seems like he's leaving a bit of money on the table and if he doesn't pan out after 4 years they can dump him for 250k
  20. Since this is Year 3 of the two-wild-card era, I took a look back at the standings after 40 games in the first two years of this system and found: Of the 20 teams that made the playoffs, 13 (or 65 percent) were in playoff position after 40 games. Six of the other seven were no more than three games out of a playoff spot. And the final team -- the 2013 Dodgers -- made all that math moot by going 53-13 between late June and early September. from ESPN
  21. They can always DL Wang if they need a short term spot. He only needs to spend 90 days on the active roster.
  22. And why would we trade for him now. He's got over half of the minimum time needed to stay on the roster. he's going to be on the roster till he hits his 90 days at least. Those 7.2 innings haven't costs us any wins , the fact that we are 23rd in runs is costing us wins
