The 31-year-old has a 2.10 ERA, 8.7 K/9, 1.2 BB/9, 0.90 HR/9, and 42.4% groundball rate in 30 innings this year. He's faced 70 lefty batters and held them to a .212/.257/.231 line. Earning $1.35MM this year, Thatcher is under team control through 2014 as an arbitration eligible player. I would have given up Gonzalez and a AA reliever and a pick for him. We could have set up our rotation nicely for next year

MLBTR link Could be a classic buy low candidate. We'd have him for 2 more years and it sounds like AZ just wants a salary dump so we wouldn't have to give anyone up. We'd have a pretty solid starting 4 for next year if he returns to the pitcher he was the last 3 years

And we don't know who is leaking this. This stuff is suppose to be done behind closed doors till after the appeal. These are the people Braun should be going after.

If Aoki get traded I'd have no problems bring him back on a 1 year deal maybe with a club option for a 2nd year. He could play RF or 1st if morris doesnt make it

The Missouri prepster is tall and lean with a projectable pitching frame. He's a bit raw on the mound, but there's a lot to like, starting with a fastball that sits in the low-90s, with plenty of room for added velocity as he gets stronger. His secondary stuff needs work, but he does show a feel for a solid sinking changeup and his slider shows glimpses of having good, short tilt to it. Like with many high school arms like this, his command and control need a good amount of refinement. A team taking Williams will have to be patient, as it might take some time for everything to come together. But the upside potential is there and is bound to have many organizations interested.

I'd guess 2 top 150 prospects Henderson. Lots of relievers are going down. Should be able to start a bidding war. Gomez somewhere around what yo gets Aram 1 decent prospect and one high upside guy Weeks , whatever you can get to have someone take most of his contract. Loshe A couple of decent prospects. Hart you may have to wait and offer a qualifying offer to. Hope he gets hot and someone offers him a 3 year deal and we get a draft pick. No use sugar coating it. they'd be bad for 2 years at least. you hope either Morris or K.Davis pans out with regular playing time.

If he's not coming back till the All star game why not put him on the 60 day DL?
