  1. Don't try you'll go insane
  2. I thought the draft was june 1st. Anyways I meant after the draft .
  3. I wonder if we are doing well on June 1st if we make a play for Morales. We have a black hole at 1st base in the minors so if we gave him 4 years it wouldn't be blocking anyone
  4. Steny's in the 3rd ward is a great place to watch the game.
  5. Record: 88-74 All Star: Lucroy, Henderson. Braun has All Star numbers but the fans don't vote for him Biggest Surprise: Gallardo Biggest Disappointment: I'm worried if Aram can hold up for 145 games Playoffs: Yes. Wild Card. Place in Division: 2nd Playoffs NL: Dodgers, Cardinals, Nationals, Brewers, Reds Playoffs AL: A's, Indians, Red Sox, Tigers, Rangers World Series: A's over Cardinals
  6. I'm surprised an AL team didn't pick him up to DH. If he learns to take a few more walks he'd be a pretty good DH
  7. What about someone like Ronald Enmanuel Guzman? a lower top 10 pick. He's still 3 years away
  8. Would have rather left Thornburg in AAA to start and been the 1st to call up
  9. So can Mitch Haniger switch to 1st? We don't really have a need for a RF for a good 5 -6 years. Could .we start him in AA and see how he does? Seems to have a higher upside than any of our current 1B
  10. This is Lohse and Yo last year on their contracts correct? We could have 2 spots open next season for these younger arms
  11. Bummer Sexson is off the ballot next year
  12. Eight teams have expressed interest in left-hander Johan Santana, reports Andrew Marchand of ESPN New York. The Yankees, Mets, Twins, Rays, Orioles, Royals, Brewers and Pirates have all expressed varying levels of interest. Travis Sawchik of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review tweets that the Pirates have requested his medical records today and plan to meet with agent Peter Greenberg this afternoon. According to Marchand, Santana and Greenberg are willing to accept an offer in the near future if a team is able to separate itself from the pack, but if not, Santana will throw in January in a showcase for interested teams. Shoulder problems have forced Santana to sit out two of the past three seasons. Depends on how much he wants, this could be a good pick up
  13. Trades for Ike Davis and Logan Morrison present alternatives, but the Mets have asked Milwaukee for Tyler Thornburg in return for Davis per mlbtraderumors I wouldn't trade TT for both of them much less one of them
  14. we have 0% chance of advancing
  15. Zach is going to be fired after this season.
  16. He wasn't horrible. I agree he shouldn't be a closer but could be a good set up man. You take that one inning at Wrigley out and he pitched to a 3.34 era in 64 innings.
  17. ST. LOUIS -- The St. Louis Cardinals factored in Jhonny Peralta's drug suspension when they negotiated a four-year deal worth more than $50 million with the free-agent shortstop. General manager John Mozeliak said Monday that Peralta had admitted wrongdoing and served his penalty and that the Cardinals weren't about to appoint themselves morality "police." Mozeliak said the club was confident that this was an isolated circumstance. The 31-year-old Peralta was suspended for 50 games last summer following Major League Baseball's investigation of the Biogenesis of America anti-aging clinic, which was accused of distributing banned performance-enhancing drugs to players. Mozeliak said in a statement Sunday that the Cardinals were "pleased" to sign Peralta, but the move drew a different reaction from some big leaguers. Arizona Diamondbacks reliever Brad Ziegler, the team's union player representative, tweeted that "it pays to cheat" and chided owners for "encouraging PED use."
  18. I'm passing on mine this year. Don't have the extra cash due to a 3 week European vacation
  19. Isn't this what happened the 2nd half ( aug and sept) last season? Look how that turned out
  20. I'll be at the Emerates on the 21st of dec for the Chelsea/Arsenal match. Then to the Bridge for the matches against Swansea and Liverpool. I've been to the 2 stadiums in Sevilla and Toulouse
  21. Good to see Chelsea get an easy group for once. Sick of Man U/ Arsenal always getting them
  22. That would mean they wouldn't have to bring Hart back. I wonder if they could have him play 1st in the fall league to get some reps
  23. Yo, Lohse, Willy, Estrada, Groz are your starting 5 with AAA Helwig , thornberg , Hiram, hand and fiers waiting to get a shot
  24. Don't see the point in trading Yo unless he has a huge bounce back these 7 or 8 starts. No point in selling low on him. I think if Hart is healthy they bring him back and try to go for it again next year. they'll go with a rotation of Yo/Loshe/Wily/marco/ whoever wins the ST spot I don't see them making wholesale changes till after next year when weeks and aram come off the books
