  1. When you are on the outside looking in, as we fans are, one of the indications of poor coaching, or possible poor coaching, or a potential coaching problem (however you want to put it) is a divided clubhouse, or certain players not giving their all, or players not trying/giving up/not hustling, or players complaining in the media and pointing fingers.... I've seen/heard none of that. That reflects a lot on Roenicke but it reflects on the whole coaching staff. I've seen zero attitude problems with the pitchers....
  2. So was last year a fluke year for Kranitz? No credit for that? What have you done for me lately etc?
  3. I wonder who would be considered the best pitching coach in MLB right now? Mike Maddux maybe?
  4. Has Kranitz helped Fiers & Estrada and Loe & Marcum this year? Any credit for that? Or just blame for the bullpen?
  5. Nats fans might be saying "Morse is super clutch in this game" but, no, actually, he's just facing the Brewers bullpen
  6. K-Rod putting the nails in the coffin (or maybe he's throwing more dirt on the grave!) of any last minute possibilities of trading him
  7. I agree! Today's game is great to see. Hopefully Rogers can stay healthy and be a big part of the 2013 pitching staff
  8. No need to apologize! (and btw, that is the 2nd time you've apologized to me today about something where no apology is needed....its all good, you are the "Jedi", I'm a big fan of your posts here... don't worry about it) And I did post about Lucroy to other positions too much... I'm learning to chill on that kind of stuff (I want Braun moved to 1B too but stopped posting about that, although if in a few years Khris Davis continues to rake and the only spot he can play is LF, well, then....)
  9. for those who can't watch this game: Rogers just hung a curve ball that Harper should have hit for a HR but Harper was late and fouled it off.... and now Harper strikes out Harper's swing looks really long today, he seems "off"
  10. I hear ya! I've been as guilty as anyone bringing it up in the forums, and gave it a rest until I heard BA & Rock talk about it. That said, I'll keep my comments about it to a minimum and in the "in-game" threads unless it becomes a serious topic discussed by Roenicke/Melvin in the media I'm a big fan of Martin Maldonado and think his defense is a huge plus, enough so that moving Lucroy and keeping Lucroys bat in the lineup would be a good thing...but I'll give it a rest again, I promise!
  11. He's being humble. I think Lucroy could be a .320 hitter year in and year out if he played RF or 2B or 3B
  12. Rogers looks pretty good Love hearing the talk from BA & Rock about Lucroy someday maybe moving to another position (pure speculation on their part but would they even say that if someone from the Brewers hadn't discussed it with them?).... let Maldonado start 4 out of 5 days!
  13. originally this was going to be a Greinke-Strasburg matchup... we almost bought tickets with that in mind Looking forward to seeing how Rogers looks today
  14. I think the Rangers will go after Ryan Dempster or Cliff Lee or Josh Johnson, or may even do a blockbuster trade for King Felix, who knows? The Angels overpaid for Greinke and I'm thrilled with that
  15. Just how weak is Davis' arm? I mean, is it Johnny Damon bad? Nyjer Morgan has a pretty weak arm and he's played in RF several times. Aoki doesn't exactly have a lazer beam gun either
  16. I guess I'm a little surprised no one wants Wolf. I would think Wolf as a lefty specialist out of the bullpen would be more valuable than what a lot of contending teams have. Maybe not
  17. Just wanted to say that I'm really happy for Sheets. He was always one of my favorite Brewers and my kid has a Ben Sheets autographed hat.... the guy has filthy stuff when he's on
  18. Wolf would be smart to finish out his career pitching in San Diego or for the Dodgers. Lots of fly balls that would end up on the warning track in those stadiums that are HR's in Miller Park
