  1. You had four bullet points in your post, each of which pretty much already had a designated thread discussing it. There's no reason that thread needs to remain open.
  2. many people put themselves in denial, like myself, by thinking we can pull out of these games, especially when we've all seen the brewers blow so many leads and lose in heartbreaking fashion, nearly every week. I'm not buying it. Just because it's happened occasionally in the past doesn't mean that you can expect it to happen every time in the future. And it certainly doesn't mean that people are being unrealistic in thinking that the Brewers are capable of holding onto a lead.
  3. because you're being realistic, unlike half of the people on here. Condescension like that is not particularly necessary or appreciated.
  4. Simply looking at those stats by itself, shouldn't we, if we were of normal luck, be playing .500 ball on the road? Not quite. On the road, we've scored 238 runs and allowed 257 runs. Judging by the Pythagorean win expectancy, that should give us a 0.461 winning percentage, which would be 24-28 instead of 21-31. So we're slightly unlucky, but not by much.
  5. It's looking like the weather is going to be an issue again today.
  6. It's the 4th inning, runners on 1st and 3rd, two outs, and a 2-2 count. And what happens next appears to be a 3-run, 3-base error on the catcher; despite the fact that the homeplate umpire made the out call and the batter began to walk back to the dugout. Bizarre Baseball Play It's all in Japanese, but you can pretty much get the gist of what's going on. What's your ruling on this?
  7. Give that kid a screenname! He belongs on this message board.
  8. It was probably a possibility as I was sitting right next to the left field foul pole. I'll be there again tomorrow night, but it doesn't look like there'll be any more storms tomorrow.
  9. Just got back from the game, and I really, really like Busch Stadium. Although, I'll have more time to explore tomorrow afternoon with my SRO tickets. The Cardinals fans were really nice, even the crazy people on the train on the way home. The guy who was sitting next to me was kinda annoying, as he kept doing a Bob Uecker impression, which instead sounded exactly like Will Ferrell's Harry Caray. It's a good sign when your worst experience was the scorecard; it didn't have any sort of pitching lines and had only 9 spots in the the batting order. Nice to see decent pitching and a lively offense, especially in person.
  10. In Saint Louie? Yeah. So, if there is any inclement weather, it shouldn't be more than a 15 minute delay. Anyways, I'm going to take advantage of the current window of sunshine and head out to the game now.
  11. Just had two downpours in less than 15 minutes with blazing sunshine in between. The weather is very suspect right now.
  12. Actually, we kinda figured he was a troll, and he would've gotten banned eventually even if you hadn't said anything.
  13. Judging by the weather forecasts we're getting down here, it looks like there's gonna be rain at some point during the game tonight.
  14. There's already a thread talking about this.
  15. He's still with the Royals, he just pitched against the Yankees.
  16. It probably would've been more advisable to contact one of us directly, but I we appreciate the heads up. One question though, why are you friends with this tool?
  17. They don't allow backpacks into the game like Miller Park does. You sure? It's says on the Cardinals website that they do.
  18. Yeah, discussion about tonight's game really belongs in the In-Game Thread.
  19. If you're trying to start a legitimate discussion, I'm not seeing it. If you're just venting, then it belongs in the vent thread.
  20. Man, for the Devil Rays, that'd be like winning the lottery.
  21. Lousy Cubs.
  22. Are you positive that the two aren't related, Brett?
  23. http://davno.ru/img/posters/propaganda1/poster_01_01.jpg http://www.makethemaccountable.com/podvin/images/JosephMcCarthy.jpg
  24. What is Tampa Bay's staff ERA for the last two days? It's floating around 16.77.
  25. It's still only the first inning and we've already seen as much offense as the previous two games combined.
