Do other teams have as many different television announcer lineups than baseball team lineups? If BA can come and go as he pleases and Schroeder is winding down to retirement, they might just want to employ a dedicated B team. -
Sanchez looks like he belongs. Makes the Adames trade even better when it appears the bullpen holes have been backfilled fairly well from within the organization.

Offense makes games fun.

Nice! Terrible throw to be that shallow and not even have a play.
-
I thought they Sedar'd him for a second there.
-
Not even our hitters have worn the Platinum Sombrero.
-
I'd go with the better hitter vs. matchup here. May CC and Pineapple prove me wrong.
-
That trade's working out ok, I think.
-
Jake Cousins, who is cousins with Kirk Cousins, is pretty good.

If Cain isn't back soon, like tomorrow, can we call up Cooper Hummel? It's past time JBJ went to the IL with right ankle inflammation.
-
The stationary kick, where the foot is coming down practically where it started seems awkward for balance. Wonder if they've tried a more open stance with a fairly level swing of the leg vs. the high kick. A la Luis Gonzalez.

Got to be dreadful for Biloxi to have to continue tonight's game that got suspended after two innings...after giving up 10 runs in the first inning.
-
You will also find me on the record in favor of getting him dealt for the best offer available. Thankfully the front office doesn't look here to see what opinions I have to run with.

Once again, I am totally glad they didn't seek my input and trade Hader in the offseason for the best available offer.

LOL, running on Pineapple.

2021 Minor League Transaction Thread

Nashville Sounds @nashvillesounds Catcher Payton Henry is also joining the Sounds from Double-A @BiloxiShuckers. -
I can see it at positioned differently from last time. Last time it was all about having reset and fixed his issues and being the AAA Player of the Week and he should at least be a passable player now. This time, nothing is expected and he's up until they find a better option at 1B. If he produces, great. Otherwise, they fully intend to send him down once someone is found.

Any chance it's just a heat cramp? Looks like another IL trip.

I thought the pitcher substance checks were supposed to occur after innings? This is just silly. Scherzer gets a strikeout, so Girardi asks for a substance check. At a minimum, just trying to throw him off. Every umpire converges on Scherzer. Dave Martinez comes out and is livid. I'm with him on this one - if they lodge an appeal, it needs to wait until after the inning.

Guessing if 2 is the over/under on appearances for Weber until he's DFA'd, we'll see a lot of action on the under.
-
Thinking we might see Lindblom. Given up one run in 18.1 IP in AAA, so fingers crossed he found something that will get MLB hitters out.

RHP Jake Cousins selected from Triple-A Nashville. RHP Zack Godley designated for assignment. Cousins is a 26 year old who will be making his MLB debut. 9 innings of AA and 8.2 innings of AAA under his belt (all in the past seven weeks), but solid numbers. Jake Cousins is the cousin of Kirk Cousins and the cousins share the last name of Cousins. https://www.milb.com/player/jake-cousins-664776

Finally get to see why Tampa traded Adames who's been nothing short of Milw's best player since that trade. Franco will have some big expectations to fill. Also this must mean Super 2 timing has reached it's exit and promotions will be happening all around MLB teams. And at the time of the trade they called up Taylor Walls to replace Adames. Their 6th ranked prospect, and probably sitting just outside the top 100. They also have Vidal Brujan in AAA, their second ranked prospect and top 40 in baseball who primarily plays 2B but can play SS. And Xavier Edwards, a second baseman, their 4th ranked and top 70 is in AA. In summary, it must be nice to be the Rays' fan.

Heck of a slide. Thought he was out by a mile.
