  1. Houser's due for a puke to get him back on track.
  2. http://beckett-www.s3.amazonaws.com/news/news-content/uploads/2016/04/2016-Willmington-Blue-Rocks-Mike-Moustakas-Bobblehead.jpg
  3. Grisham a pretty obvious pick (sorry, Freitas). A little surprised by Ashby. I'd have gone with File, capped off by the dominant postseason starts, and had Lazar and Zavolas ahead of him as well.
  4. Are we allowed to dub him FreitAAAAs yet?
  5. Sounds like they're just speculating, and/or being "moran" Cardinals announcers. Even with the "softball reporter" impressions many have of our reporters, we'd have gotten a whiff if something that illogical had any truth to it.
  6. Burnes preparing to take Perez's inning away from him.
  7. Combine Freddy, who is afraid of the dark and Victor Santos, who was a vampire and you have a good pitcher.
  8. I had Black at 50/50 to be DFA'd next year without options. He's moving that chance down lately.

  10. These playoff games have been crazy high scoring. It seemed like they were winning every other game 3-0 in the regular season.
  11. I was already surprised we've been scoring runs with the AAA infield. That should just about do it.
  12. He's taking Perez's inning this month. Which would be ok, except for the fact that Perez has been needed as an everyday starter and he's much more amusing when pitching.
  13. I always think back to this date when laughing at the Marlins attendance. The Marlins hosted the Brewers in perfect weather. A series high 11,379 showed up. https://www.espn.com/mlb/team/schedule/_/name/mil/season/2007/seasontype/2/half/1 In Milwaukee, we had 7 inches of show that day, a record for the date. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/mid-april-snow-continues-in-midwest/ However, snow plows were out clearing row by row of parking at Miller Park, as the line of cars waited to get in. 16,375 people (a series low) were eager to get inside to watch the Indians and Angels play ball. That's 5,000 more than the game in Miami. https://www.espn.com/mlb/team/schedule/_/name/cle/season/2007/seasontype/2/half/1
  14. Shuckers trailing going into the bottom of the 8th, rally hard and put up a five-spot to win 8-4. They'll get a re-match with Jackson (DBacks), who they fell to 3-1 in the Championship Series last year. Biloxi will host games 1-2 on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jackson hosting the weekend games Friday, Sat/Sun if necessary.
  15. Think it's about $45k for the season, since he was on the 40 man for the first time. So he gets about twice as much this month as he got the entire season in AAA.
  16. Guys trying to have a job with the team on the left side of the infield next year are a combined 1-11 with 7 K's.
  17. File dealt tonight! Only gave up one hit and a HBP until the 9th.
  18. It's King David time. Nottingham is playing MLB Road to the Show on Playstation and just checked this thread. He's super duper excited now.
  19. Griep, of sub-2 ERA on the year loaded the bases and gave up a granny without recording an out in the 9th. Ouch! So no runner on second in postseason extras? I like that. I like the rule for MiLB in the regular season, but also agree that it's bad for the postseason. Edit: Dillon Thomas homers in the bottom of the 10th! Shuckers, the team with a dominant staff and blow average offense, win 11-10.
  20. Think it comes down to the roster spots - of Stokes, Taylor, and Ray (who needs to be put on the 40 this off-season), there's room for one, maybe two. I'd probably have gone with Stokes over Taylor, though we don't know if there will end up being room for either of them. The other consideration, as others noted, is that fourth outfielders are all too common. I mean, we're deciding between three here, Cooper Hummel put up a .835 OPS in the Southern League which is not easy, and most organizations have the same surplus going on and will be DFAing/not protecting/selling cheaply if we ever had the need.
  21. To be fair, after a loss I also call them Pittsburgh.
  22. Decided to keep the game check, knowing with Perez up the game was going to be over in 30 seconds anyway.
