  1. What do they do, lift the B team up until the remaining 16 players are in the clear/those that were positive produce the two negative tests?
  2. I'd say low. What's the minimum number of fans that makes it worth it? Considering fans require security, parking, ticketing, first responders, probably a few people to sell or provide water. Depending on protocol, other stuff like buying hand sanitizer, bringing in people to do temperature checks. Teams probably getting a break on their insurance that they'd lose. At the end of the day, for opening the park to fans make financial sense you're probably getting the point where capacity needs to get to levels few teams or their local governments are going to accept within the next six weeks or so.
  3. Not going to be showing improvement to pace of play after this one.
  4. Hey, little bit of Nerd Contact for the RBI.
  5. Ugh, please get rid of the video game crowd.
  6. I actually wish Braun was in the field for that play. He would have had him out easy.
  7. Who else would you put there? My vote is Gamel
  8. The crowd noise that sounds like a bunch of whistling is worse. At least we don't have to listen to the idiots doing the whooooo noises like half the games last year.
  9. Craig, you forgot to fire Andy Haines! Someone has to get a start to the usual calls to fire the hitting coach. Otherwise it wouldn't be baseball season.
  10. Or, it looks like the Pittsburgh Blue Jays. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29515522/sources-blue-jays-expected-play-home-games-pnc-park-pittsburgh Never mind. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29517765/sources-blue-jays-seeking-alternatives-pittsburgh Baltimore Blue Jays?

  12. The whole idea went kaput for me as soon as the Guess Who comparison was made, and now I can't think of anything else when I see them. The Buffalo Blue Jays.
  13. Ray and Turang in today (edit: supposedly neither is hitting). The Brockstar will be mic'ed up.
  14. Do we get Suter the whole night? This is hilarious.
  15. Seemed the MLB-owned teams were deemed safe. But from this thread back when the MLB/MiLB spitting match was heating up, that may not rule out relocation: viewtopic.php?f=64&t=39098&start=40
  16. Brown's on the list. Was hoping we'd see File this year, but I didn't think he was within two months of making it. More realistically, I thought Perdomo was on now or never time and would have made it.
  17. I don't know if it'll translate well to MLB, but I've actually enjoyed the runner on second rule in MiLB in practice. Aware that it's just a measure for this season, but perhaps it can surprise me twice.
  18. MLBPA Communications @MLBPA_News All remaining issues have been resolved and Players are reporting to training camps. 8:41 PM · Jun 23, 2020·Twitter Web App
  19. I would have to hope commissioners are just the voice, simply because I've never understood how the role across all sports is essentially a lifetime appointment. Owners in every league have to be doing damn well, since the shareholders in any other industry would have fired the CEO multiple times over if they presided over the problems of a Bettman, Goodell, or Selig, or were as weak as Manfred.
  20. I'd rather they just called it something like the "MLB Championship Series" if there ends up being a season. A 50 game season starting in August, brought on by owners and players hating each other, featuring a dumb schedule and no fans...that doesn't culminate in a World Series. Just be honest that we're watching the baseball equivalent of the NIT.
  21. Been doing a Star Wars start to finish watch through. Watched the last season of Clone Wars as it came out so it's taken some time but I'm back up to A New Hope now. I think I like Clone Wars overall more than when I first watched it, and the last arc was really great. Rebels wasn't quite as good as Clone Wars, but I still like it.
  22. I might drive it, but I'd be headed down as well. My sanity demands it. Is it a huge advantage? Possibly a dumb question since it's not measurable. Also almost wondering with things like regional schedules and seasons as low as 50 games being proposed if it's high on the list of imbalanced things.
  23. Oh, nice. I also can't wait for the five game NFL season and three game college football season.
