A call-up reliever who doesn't turn a blowout into a save! -
Thanks for setting that one up, BA!
-
Since they mentioned him, here's Domino. A handsome beast.
-
What came flying up on the landing there?
-
A little worried Claudio is going to be rusty after going 54 hours without an appearance.
-
Can't be the Salad Man without some good produce in there.
-
4 for 35 since the call-up, but he's heating up!
-
Trey Supak came within one out of a no hitter again for Biloxi. Only a seven inning game this time because of the weekend rain outs, but still.
-
Supak comes within one out of a no hitter again. Damn. I don't understand moves like keeping Deolis Guerra after the DFA instead of just releasing, which then sent Griep back to AA. Actively holding back young talent from the MLB pipeline when they should be moving up to give roster spots to AAAA journeymen. I get the Smyly / Miller signings, since they have MLB success.

Reasonable response. Actually half expected more "all in" or buyer talk, glad he has the philosophy that you add to a good team to make it better, not to a mediocre team to try to make it good.
-
I know I tune in to just to see him swing at change-ups out of the zone on 0-2 as if he were expecting a fastball down the middle.
-
In the future I could see wanting the fourth outfielder to be a right-handed bat, similar to how this year made a whole lot more sense to have Gamel over Santana. No need to rush Grisham up or do anything different with Gamel this year.
-
Looks like Ray may finally be healthy, and spending some time back in AA after the layoff seems a good call.
-
Go Burch! Future middle relief guy!
-
Nah, Hiura too. [sarcasm]They stagger them in the order to maximize TV ratings.[/sarcasm]
-
Where is Alex Claudio? It feels like an entire game since we've seen him. If we're going to give up a draft pick for a guy with a 73 mph fastball I expect to get at least 195 appearances out of him.

Leave in inexperienced starter in 7th inning, third time through order vs. Go to that bullpen No win for CC.
-
Put another charge in one next AB. Let's get that cycle in order.
-
He's so good.
-
Gio with a good start going in San Antonio. This should be it for Houser in the rotation. Oh, and Grisham 2-2 with yet another homer.
-
RHP Corbin Burnes placed on the 10-day injured list (right shoulder irritation). RHP Burch Smith recalled from Triple-A San Antonio. Smith hasn't pitched in nine days, since his 2 IP / 5 ER outing in Pittsburgh. I guess he'll be re-filling the innings eater/ERA inflater role and exchanged after one appearance.
