  1. The way to sell the name to fans: tell them that the runner up was One Call, That's All Park.
  2. Gonna get some Badger Mutual Insurance runs at American Family Insurance Park by hitting a home run into the Northwestern Mutual Insurance Beer Pen, then watch Bernie go down the State Farm Insurance slide.
  3. Also imbalanced. The first half was brutal with all the injuries. Second half was really healthy. No idea what answer is if there is one in terms of whether it's "better" to be plagued by injuries early, late, or even throughout the season.
  4. Glad we're moving on from Coles. After the overhaul of the lineup, the offense had to be better than that. Don't fully get Tunnel, but it's not a top assistant role and if Derek Johnson is good with it, I'm good with it.
  5. Getting value for our misfit toys will be important. Of Anderson, Davies, Thames, and Santana, I can see one, maybe two fitting into the plans for next year. I can also see a lot of teams being able to use them better than we were able to. Not sure if the return yields a utility bat, bullpen arm, or prospects, but there's value there that would be unfortunate to part with for nothing.
  6. Maddon had the balls to fire half his staff after not getting to the World Series last year. Can Counsell move on from Coles? Spending unprecedented money and shipping half the farm out to revamp the entire lineup yet again isn't the answer.
  7. Unlikely. We'll have to keep second warm for a year. Dubon injury really hurt too, since he can't be expected next year either.
  8. Let's not forget that Coles needs to go before we invest $100 million and trade half the farm to reform our lineup again.
  9. So using your best bullpen pitcher early is an option, but the same doesn't apply to hitting so the worst bench bat is used with runners on. Not saying the philosophy is wrong, I just don't entirely follow.
  10. Anderson, Davies, Thames, even Santana could all also be part of trade packages if they don't align in the rotation or lineup. They're all valuable players that just can't quite maximize their potential with us. A lot of teams may be willing to give us something of value for them. Get a utility player or bullpen arm, or replenish the farm.
  11. Anyone able to communicate with the dead? If so, would you mind pleading with the Pfister ghost to harass Walker Buehler tonight?
  12. Yes, send him out. He was solid. Could go an inning if necessary tomorrow. Not as important as Hader available for max, and not worth playing by trying someone else.
  13. It would be nice if one of their average relievers just had a total meltdown. It's overdue. Maybe they can sneak Wade Davis into the pen.
  14. At last the known part of the decision worked out well. Yes, Knebel is available for an inning tomorrow. Not sure if he can go more than that again, but he's been so good it's probably worth risking.
  15. Don't like it. A hit from one of your best hitters opens this up big time. Go get the rest of the pen up and you still get to keep Knebel available for more than an inning tomorrow.
  16. I'd imagine not, but coming to the playoffs. Who knows. Initial out getters, with Brown and Diplan following up
