So who's going to have shoulder soreness, or a "left foot contusion" to allow us to recall a fresh arm since no one has been down for 10 days? -
Peralta's going to get another start by default, unless they can end it here.
-
Wish CC would have double switched to be able to keep Jeffress in another inning.

No Badger Mutual Insurance Runs tonight.

Was that the Marquette Jump Around guy who played some good foul ball defense there? Edit: Google + MLB.TV's DVR confirms it! http://media.bizj.us/view/img/10254113/120216ropricksmithrasmithnational02*750xx5184-2922-0-0.jpg

Old man Braun might have a little juice left after all.
-
See Thornburg, Tyler. Agree that the haul we could get from selling is really appealing. Probably enough to get us right back to the top farm system again. I'd rather be in first place and be adding another star with the objective of winning it all, but standing pat with a mediocre team built to win this year with very questionable longevity would be the worst option of all.

Domingo Santana to the Mariners, Gamel and Zavolas to MKE
folly412 replied to JDBrewCrew's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Zavolas also doing well for Carolina: 5 G / 27.0 IP / 2.67 ERA / 26 K / 5 BB / 1.15 WHIP -
Edit: Moves are: Peralta activated, Williams recalled, Barnes and Hart optioned. ---- Looks like we'll have some roster moves coming in before the game. Taylor Williams is the only one on the 40 man that really makes sense to come up. Tom @Haudricourt Counsell said there will have to be more pitching moves before tomorrow's game and that goes beyond activating Freddy Peralta to start. Hart threw 36 pitches and Burnes threw 40. Not going to be easy to keep Burnes now.
-
Sooo that trade is looking pretty darn good.

*excludes home runs allowed

I'm ready for the usual IL trip. Let's see what Taylor can do.
-
Really nice job by Hart. Hope the pen situation doesn't tighten up to the point that he's rewarded for the extended outing with a trip to AAA to make room for a fresh arm.
-
Interesting indeed, which obviously means someone else was likely going to be optioned for tomorrow’s game. I was thinking more on the lines of... we bring back Peralta and Burnes for the same game? Do we piggy-back the kids? Is confusing that there were already six starters before Anderson went down and we've only been told Burnes was still planned to be a starter this year. Guess if Burnes was already going to be coming up, they may already have planned to send Barnes down.
-
I am entertained.
-
Hopefully the Uber driver that brought Burnes kept the car warm for Barnes. He can make another trip and bring Taylor Williams.
-
So I guess they knew about this just a couple hours ago, had to drive Burnes in from Iowa where SA is playing, and he just got there as the game was starting.
-
So they literally made the roster move a minute before the game, and Burnes teleported into the bullpen?
-
Any chance Woodruff could pitch a few innings on three days rest, considering Peralta is pitching on his normal day tomorrow? Didn't look like he was in the bullpen, so guessing that's not in the cards.
-
Crap. Salad tongs? Tom @Haudricourt 1m1 minute ago More #Brewers starter Chase Anderson scratched with lacerated finger. Jacob Barnes will start instead.
-
Same 1-8 as yesterday
-
Good enough.
-
Would rather put someone else out with the four run lead and be sure Guerra is available if needed Thursday.
