  1. Nats 25, Mets 4. Lighting up Jose Reyes for 6 runs with a 19-1 lead in the 8th is pretty savage.
  2. I remember part of this forum thinking he was the backbone of the trade for some odd reason even though it was really clear he was the throw in at the time. So who was the backbone? That was a weird trade that makes about as much sense to me now as it did then. Nelson Cruz
  3. Hey, we now have the current AL and NL Players of the Week. How many times has that happened?
  4. If we're only looking at Ortiz and scraps, not a bad price. Shows how much they wanted to improve offense. I get that the overall starters ERA is fine, but it's hard to be confident in Miley and Peralta as the 4/5 and Woodruff the back-up. Timing for a 2018-19 player makes sense with Hiura, Erceg, Dubon all profiling as potential 2020 players, but can't see committing $15M to Moustakas next year unless Shaw is traded or Shoop is flipped in the off-season.
  5. Fake account. At least check to make sure the Twitter account is verified, guys.
  6. Soon... @Todd_Rosiak 10m10 minutes ago More They’re saying about 15 minutes for the lights to come back on, then the game will resume.
  7. First four reach, next two get ahead in the count. One run. This could only be more Brewers if Freddy gets shelled and we have two base runners the rest of the game.
  8. We have our answer: Cool, a right-handed pitcher. I think I'll hit a home run off him.
  9. Perez can probably run and toss a warm up or two between pitches. I hate when parks have the bullpens in play.
  10. Hey hey hey...man Matt Albers, you're looking rusty.
  11. This one is acceptable. It seems a worse omen to play the Dodgers after they just got no hit.
  12. Lineup looks fine to me. Maybe not as appealing without Thames and Shaw due to the LHP, but sub in Villar for Perez and catcher is really the only spot that looks deficient.
  13. Reminded by the Hunter Pence at bat last inning...fun thing to check out - occasionally when the team has an off day or during the off season, Hunter Pence plays video games and streams on Twitch.
  14. Factoring in the remaining portion of this season, Pablo Sandoval is still owed just a hair under $30 million from the Red Sox. Oof.
  15. Though the hit/error happened a bit earlier, I'll always remember the Sabathia no hitter that wasn't.
  16. Hopefully you have DVR so you can see that Arcia actually did get two hits and a walk.
  17. I follow the team closely and forgot a couple of those guys even played for the Brewers. Repressed memories maybe I've also literally never heard of Jake Elmore or Ramon Flores. It looks like three players are currently on active MLB rosters. The Sky Sox lineup tonight is probably better.
  18. Good thing we're not in a smaller park then. "That's a home run in any other park, partner." - Schroeder, 482 occasions
  19. Could you imagine the day when the NL adopts the DH and CC uses it to hit for Arcia? I remember in the Chad Moeller days when we played an AL team and had to check to see if it would be permissible to DH for him instead of the pitcher.
  20. Weird: Stats By STATS @StatsBySTATS John Axford (@BlueJays) is expected to make his 1st career start today. He, Sergio Romo, and Jerry Blevins will have made their first career start this season after 530+ relief outings. Prior to 2018, only 5 players ever had as many relief appearances before their first start.
  21. Don't mind the price, but hate the position switching. Shaw at 2B is not something I look forward to seeing. Maybe if the 3B acquired was right-handed so allow for some shuffling. Don't see how there wasn't a middle infielder available for the same price. I see an option, but it may be a mutual option. Mutual at $15M, $1M buyout.
