  1. Guessing Maddon will over-manage and pinch hit even if it's still 1-0 next time the spot comes up, but would be nice to get something going before then.
  2. About what you'd expect for the lineup. Aggressive move to start Chacin. Would have preferred Anderson with his good numbers against the Cubs today and Chacin tomorrow. Bullpen game tomorrow with the 25 man roster or home run prone Anderson starting against the Dodgers/Rockies lineup scares me. On the other hand, if we're playing to win today it's the call you'd make.
  3. Lyles to finish it out? Or Albers if they can trust him to not make us wait another hour to end the game. Got to be someone not needed tomorrow and not very likely to be on the playoff roster. edit: looks like Lyles.
  4. Got to be better than Co Springs. Guess it's good that Stearns managed a good working relationship with the ownership group despite knowing we were the reluctant party to be able to keep this in play. There will be 20-22 AAA affiliate contracts expiring in 2020 (eliminating ownership stakes), so it'll be as ideal a time as it gets to find a long term partner. And to echo others, the best thing the ownership group can do for us is change the name. Missions, really?
  5. No need to try to purchase ownership stake when it provides nothing they're not already getting. They have a stable long-term partner and some leverage in operations since the T-Rats would stand to lose quite a bit if they weren't a Brewers affiliate. Unless that becomes gets threatened, better to purchase affiliates elsewhere where there is less stability.
  6. Saw Diplan a few times last year and early this year in Carolina and never came away impressed. Overall numbers are deceptive - he's really had a breakout season.
  7. This thread is a spoof/joke in relation to the Wade Miley one. Just a disclaimer. But there was a double dog dare in the IGT to make it!
  8. I knew you were evil. I’ll send Lopez a letter of apology. CC all Brewers fans as well. If it were Fiers, then Lopez teams would start way overpaying for our pitchers knowing they have reasonable shots at throwing no hitters.
  9. Matt Carpenter. Chris is at home trying to explain to his kids about the Brewers's antics in violation of The Cardinal Way. Still nursing his injured....feelings
  10. I was gonna say, watching Huter Pence do anything is anxiety educing. Maybe not so much if you watch him play video games on Twitch on off days
  11. Good to see he still has some life in him. After the struggles of the past couple months I thought it might be a mistake to send him to the AFL and not shut him down. Perhaps not.
  12. Note that the original date is actually May 2009. It's a good bookmark, as they actually keep things quite up to date, at least for actuals. Some projections are questionable. It'll be an uphill battle for sure. But it's good that it's Stearns and a plan that values a continually strong system vs. Melvin and a system that was near the bottom for years at the end there. Also hard to tell how much of the rug pull was Melvin PR talk vs. Melvin being naive...I recall pretty much everyone here being very aware Nashville was looking elsewhere and we needed to be looking for a new affiliate in mid-2014.
