    The more I see of some teams, I'm convinced we take for granted having good defense. Even our frustrating miscues tend to look mild compared to some of this.

    Given the bullpen options, I wouldn't be sad if they have to DFA. Not sure how many phantom IL players can be stocked before MLB gets annoyed, but Wilson would be higher on my list for one of those.

    Offense is in a bit of a slump absent last night. Starting to miss Yeli. Wins coming more from great pitching than the big outbursts from a couple weeks ago. There's too much depth to be toiling with Mears. Would rather activate Paredes or find out if Yoho could be a boost in the playoffs. Perhaps he can be stored on the IL with a left toe contusion.

    I remember buying his jersey shirt. Then he changed his number. Then he never could put it together. The AAA Perfect Game will forever be his career highlight. Are we officially 26? Or do we get a 3-for tonight due to now having the season series tiebreakers with the Cards and Cubs?
