  1. Hiura should never have been sent down to maintain the three catcher shenanigans. Lamet should never have been acquired. If "balance" was required, we could have just picked up part of Hader's salary. That Lamet was active and in uniform while Bush was at the park and inactive last night just makes Stearns look silly. These two things have now been corrected with these moves, but sheesh.
  2. Was just reminded of this zinger from Brett Anderson while he was pitching for us last year.
  3. Big fan of EVT. Pays ~6.6%, all of it qualified dividends, and has a weak correlation with the market so the price has also appreciated by about the same 6%+ historically.
  4. Not convinced this is an upgrade over Gustave for last man in the pen. Feels like one of those times Stearns makes a trade for the sake of it. Not that he would be the first to be blessed by Chris Hook upon arriving and end up being pretty good.
  5. Been doing a Star Wars start to finish watch through. Watched the last season of Clone Wars as it came out so it's taken some time but I'm back up to A New Hope now. I think I like Clone Wars overall more than when I first watched it, and the last arc was really great. Rebels wasn't quite as good as Clone Wars, but I still like it.
  6. Tom @Haudricourt · Giants got a pretty good young shortstop in Dubon for two pitchers they likely are not going to miss.
  7. So...two months of a reliever that has supposedly been good out of the pen (but it could be a fluke), and an Alex Wilson clone who will clog a 40 man spot for Dubon? That's the steepest price for relief pitching anyone has paid yet. I'd rather have called up Devin Williams and Donnie Hart and rolled with it.
  8. Jon Morosi @jonmorosi Will Smith is not going to the Brewers in the reported trade agreement between Milwaukee and San Francisco, either.
