Not really a solution for our AAA lineups in itself, but an upgrade at a cost that's hard to complain about. Plus maybe he'll give a couple of postgame concerts.
Can't get a good grasp on that one. Seemed like he could score there but out by a mile. They get it in quickly, bad send, or Monasterio not as quick as I thought?
When Anderson returns (or if a trade is made), Turang's probably going to need to spend some more time in Nashville. Monasterio is only competent vs. an ace at second, but the difference in hitting is too much right now.
Good move. Sal is in our long-term plans. Tapia was not. If Sal ≈ Tapia at this point, why not?
What's with the Weimer talk? He should be above Perkins and Taylor on the outfield depth chart.
All about the bats. Hopefully Arnold avoids the Stearns "make a trade for the sake of making a trade" where the bullpen sometimes added worse pieces at the deadline. Justin Wilson will be our lefty reliever added to the roster. Throwing well on rehab assignment in Nashville.
With his kids out of school, wouldn't be surprised if he took a year or two off to refresh and showed up when there's an open gig in someplace warm like Vegas (if they become willing to spend after relo) or Houston.
I preferred the old 10 outs-based format.
Also, today's players can't come close to the level of coolness at the Derby as Griffey. Every kid on the playground had his hat on backwards the next day.
Got to like when a guy like Monasterio would be easy to option keeps playing himself onto the roster.
Similar for Bryce Wilson - last guy in the pen and seemed like a likely DFA to start the season but earned his spot.
