I fully expected Renfroe to be stranded at third. -
Hader now has a 4.50 ERA on the season. ?
-
Not pulling him, really? I like the odds of Suter getting a ground ball over continuing this disaster.
-
Jeez. Seems he's not pitching in the All Star Game because he's pitching in the Derby the night before. Ugly - fastball is down, slider is way up.

Workhorse Hoby Milner
-
Glad to escape that inning. Nice contrast with Urias holding on the cheap contact then handling the DP ball vs. the Giants defensive issues in the top half.
-
Punished for using a lame pitcher. Justice! At least Brosseau throws his 75 mph fastballs overhand like a man. ?
-
He may not be able to get a ball out of the infield, but Davis does have a .361 OBP out of the 9 spot. ?♂️
-
If Mitchell can stay healthy, that future outfield is looking mighty. Frelick has to be heavy favorite to be first to make it up.
-
Especially when Rowdy has been atrocious over the past week, the timing is weird. Guess they want to run him into the ground before the break instead of going with a day or two off now.
-
All your base are belong to Jace.
-
Good to see Sadzeck get a chance with the good AAA results. Assuming it's just to get Hiura ABs through the break next week given he's been fairly productive. The silly catcher jam also needs to be resolved.

No rain delays, 2001-
-
Williams snubbed. Hader sitting it out wouldn't be the worst idea, in which case Williams likely gets in.
-
When's the last time McCutchen actually advanced baserunners?
-
Hope Hader skips the ASG. A few days with the wife and newborn, maybe spend a day with Hook would serve him better than heading to LA and getting thrown into another game.
-
Weimer's slump is getting brutal. Really ever since he missed a week or so. Is it healthy?
-
I also recall MLB.TV saying "catch every live, out of market game". They've decided to change the definition of "out of market" to include "whenever we feel like forcing another streaming service on you" by making this game "unavailable due to blackout restrictions". Garbage!
-
Alexander is a distant fourth for issues tonight behind garbage defense, CC letting him face a lefty then lifting him for Suter, and the offense seeking out ways not to score.
-
Sophia's post-game Spanish interviews should be called "He Said Live"
-
Brosseau > Kelley.
-
He was just getting warmed up. Good to go the 9th.
-
Keston Hiura for the 9th. Let's see if he can protect this lead.
-
This feels more like Brewers-Pirates. Last night didn't have that feeling!
-
The organization needs to hit on homegrown position players to continue to compete over the next few years. Turang/Feliciano/Weimer/Frelick/Mitchell/Black/Chourio. The money will need to go towards pitching, between big money extensions as current players approach free agency and some free agents with the minors looking thin.
