  1. Can we switch the anger on this thread to the twins? All of their free agents have been better than expected, their division is atrocious and suddenly their failed prospects have all arrived at once this year. I’m still sick of them continually being run better, as well. The cardinals of the AL. There, let’s hate them
  2. Gio should be locked up now. The way that the market is, gio could be had for 2/10. Sorry, but Jordan shouldn’t be the quality we go for. Get gio as a backend, trade some surplus and sign a frontline starter to pair with woodruff. No matter who we buy the hitting stinks so let’s try some pitching for once.
  3. I would prefer Woodruff first. Especially if he's just emerging, he could be had at quite a value. Again though, in the off season or this time next year.
  4. Well that was pathetic. I keep foolishly hoping the hitting will carry this team for a few weeks but apparently that happened early on and won't happen again.
  5. Such a piss-poor offense. NO way can we have a middle of the pack offense for this much money in this size of market. The underachievement is astounding.
  6. I think it’s more likely that they’ll invest those dollars on a different hitter or two. Well that would be a shame. Eventually having a stable, above-average staff would be nice.
  7. Grandal has been about as productive as a wet fart after his hot start to the season. Between that and his debatable associations with the pitching staff, I hope they invest those dollars in pitching instead next year.
  8. Why are we only winning without the good players? Maybe we should’ve had an AA bullpen and zero starters the whole time
  9. Looks like with Grisham and hiura our there it’s time to strike on the pitching market this offseason. We’re developing a young core of hitters again and don’t let the dang pitching fail again like in the braun/ fielder days.
  10. Wait for the “give Shaw a chance this is a small sample size” crowd that’s hopefully shrinking
  11. No. I think if the offense finally gets hot (not Holding my breath), the bullpen is league average and woodruff/ Davies return in good condition we have a chance at the wild card. Sweeping a pathetic Pittsburgh after being completely dominated by a slightly above average cubs team doesn’t change the narrative of the season.
  12. I guess we'd better hope no one else gets hurt? IL'ing Cain wouldn't hurt too much with his production but apparently we enjoy having no one available to play OF/ SS/ PH on a nightly basis.
  13. Even without Yeli, we're gonna shell this guy. When’s the last time we actually shelled a starter? Also, why hasn’t Ken Griffey jr. Been hitting? If he’s going to hit 600 homers he can’t have stretches like this
  14. I mean... Yelich. Wow. You have to raise the payroll and significantly improve the pitching staff with a guy like him around. I was hoping Peralta would keep it up to be a trade chip in the offseason but it looks like we’ll have to get pitching help via free agency. Yikes with their continued horrible bullpen
  15. Is there a list of our pitchers who didn't go on the IL for an alleged injury (that may not be a real injury) this year? Hader and Anderson? What an absolute crap-show
  16. I'm looking forward to Devin Williams at least. Hopefully Supak will be up as well. Maybe Burnes can remember he's been excellent prior to this year, as well?
  17. Well that guarantees another 20-30 starts. Although he can't make this offense any less offensive than it is.
  18. The scary thing about that is they are going to bring someone up to play backup SS at some point. If they send Grisham down as the corresponding move I will be furious. Shaw needs to go down You feed the cat and it keeps coming back....we can't be rid of him, apparently
  19. Misconceptions about Braun? You don’t say. Maybe the facts have been lost in the chain of custody... LOL
  20. Speaking of the young guns let's get a pitching coach in the offseason that can help them. Argue what you want about the pitchers throwing the pitches but Hook does not deserve a job, that much has been clear for awhile.
  21. Looks like it's time to play the young ones. Who else comes up and gets a shot now? If Grisham is for real this will be an exciting group next year.
